TL;DR: In this paper, an interference management system for inter-cell interference management in a wireless communication system is described, where a base station performs interference management by conveying and receiving load indicator messages over a backhaul communication link to disparate neighboring base stations that serve interfering mobile stations.
Abstract: System(s) and method(s) are provided for inter-cell interference management in a wireless communication system. A base station perform interference management by conveying and receiving load indicator messages over a backhaul communication link to disparate neighboring base stations that serve interfering mobile stations. Reporting of load indicators takes place according to a reporting policy that is event-based, and accounts for variations of interference metrics over available time-frequency resources. Communication with neighboring base stations is limited to a monitoring interference set, which can be determined statically, according to deployment characteristics of a wireless network, or the set can be adjusted dynamically according to a set of received UL signals or a set of DL CQI measurement reports. Reporting policy and interference set can be autonomously adapted to optimize backhaul traffic as well as interference control.

TL;DR: In this paper, the uplink grant may be configured to trigger a clear channel assessment (CCA) to determine availability of an unlicensed spectrum prior to a transmission associated with uplink grants.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for wireless communications. In one method, an uplink grant may be received over a licensed spectrum. A clear channel assessment (CCA) may be performed in response to the uplink grant to determine availability of an unlicensed spectrum. The CCA may be performed prior to a transmission associated with the uplink grant. In another method, scheduling information may be received over a licensed spectrum. An uplink grant may be transmitted over the licensed spectrum. The uplink grant may be based at least in part on the scheduling information. The uplink grant may be configured to trigger a CCA to determine availability of an unlicensed spectrum prior to a transmission associated with the uplink grant.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a system that generates a quick paging message identifying an access terminal to indicate the presence of scheduled paging messages for that access terminal, and then generates a compressed nearly unique identifier of each access terminal that is notified in the message.
Abstract: Systems and methods of generating quick paging messages having nearly unique identifiers and variable capacity are described. The system generates a quick paging message identifying an access terminal to indicate the presence of a scheduled paging message for that access terminal. The system generates a quick paging notification for each access terminal having a scheduled paging message and generates a compressed nearly unique identifier of each access terminal that is notified in the quick paging message. The compression technique can vary based on the number of bits allocated to the quick paging message as well as the number of access terminals notified in one quick paging message.

TL;DR: In this article, a wireless system including a first speaker and a second speaker, where the first and second speakers communicate with each other over a wireless link, is described, and the first speaker includes both a primary wireless interface for receiving audio from an audio source and a secondary wireless interface transmitting a portion of the audio to the second speaker.
Abstract: A wireless system including a first speaker and a second speaker, where the first and second speakers communicate with each other over a wireless link. In some configurations, the first speaker includes both a primary wireless interface for receiving audio from an audio source and a secondary wireless interface transmitting a portion of the audio to the second speaker. The speaker can incorporate Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to provide the wireless link between each other. The wireless system can be configured to synchronize audio output at the speakers, and can also include a second-speaker detection mechanism that permits the first speaker to be used in either a stand-alone mode, with audio output at only the first speaker, or full-headset mode, with audio output at both speakers when the second speaker is detected within wireless range of the first speaker.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for activating a virtual fence for use with a delivery vehicle is described. But the method comprises steps of detecting a protection event, determining that the protection event is an activation event, and activating a selected virtual fence based on the activation event.
Abstract: System for providing a virtual vehicle boundary. The system includes a method for activating a virtual fence for use with a delivery vehicle. The method comprises steps of detecting a protection event, determining that the protection event is an activation event, and activating a selected virtual fence based the activation event.
