TL;DR: In this paper, a process for modifying the processing parameters to shift the non-zero offset voltage closer to zero has been developed, which may have improved performance and/or simpler drive schemes.
Abstract: An interferometric modulator manufactured according to a particular set of processing parameters may have a non-zero offset voltage. A process has been developed for modifying the processing parameters to shift the non-zero offset voltage closer to zero. For example, the process may involve identifying a set of processing parameters for manufacturing an interferometric modulator that results in a non-zero offset voltage for the interferometric modulator. The set of processing parameters may then be modified to shift the non-zero offset voltage closer to zero. For example, modifying the set of processing parameters may involve modifying one or more deposition parameters used to make the interferometric modulator, applying a current (e.g., a counteracting current) to the interferometric modulator, and/or annealing the interferometric modulator. Interferometric modulators made according to the set of modified processing parameters may have improved performance and/or simpler drive schemes.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a system to generate recommendations of locations to transmit to the user of a mobile device, based for instance on the location of the device in the region as reported by GPS or other location service and the regional profile.
Abstract: Implementations relate to systems and methods for aggregating and presenting data related to geographic locations. Geotag data related to geographic locations and associated features or attributes can be collected to build a regional profile characterizing a set of locations within the region. Geotag data related to the constituent locations, such as user ratings or popularity ranks for restaurants, shops, parks, or other features, sites, or attractions, can be combined to generate a profile of characteristics of locations in the region. The platform can generate recommendations of locations to transmit to the user of a mobile device, based for instance on the location of the device in the region as reported by GPS or other location service and the regional profile. Geotag data can include audio data analyzed using region-specific terms, and user recommendations can be presented via dynamic menus based on regional profiles, user preferences or other criteria.

TL;DR: In this article, a coexistence policy for communication resource operation within a user equipment (UE) and configuring communication resources of the user equipment in accordance with the determined coexist policy is presented.
Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes monitoring coexistence issues among supported radios in a User Equipment (UE). The method includes determining a coexistence policy for communication resource operation within a user equipment (UE) and configuring communication resources of the user equipment in accordance with the determined coexistence policy. The policy may give priority to an LTE modem, an ISM modem, or may implement a variable priority scheme. The policy may be communicated to each modem from a host over a software messaging communication line. Modems in the UE may communicate with each other through logical lines providing real time communication. The policy may determine the operation of each modem and the treatment of the logical lines by each modem.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mobile station uses wireless signals from a plurality of wireless networks for position determination (e.g., for data communication, for obtaining time and/or frequency information, for range measurement, for sector or altitude estimation).
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for position determination and other operations. In one embodiment of the present invention, a mobile station uses wireless signals from a plurality of wireless networks (e.g., with different air interfaces and/or operated by different service providers) for position determination (e.g., for data communication, for obtaining time and/or frequency information, for range measurement, for sector or altitude estimation). In one embodiment of the present invention, mobile stations are used to harvest statistical data about wireless access points (e.g., the locations of mobile stations that have received signals from the wireless access points, such as from cellular base stations, wireless local area network access points, repeaters for positioning signals, or other wireless communication transmitters) and to derive location information (e.g., position and coverage area of the wireless access points) for the wireless networks from the collected statistical data.
