TL;DR: In this article, a distributed voice recognition system includes a digital signal processor (DSP), a nonvolatile storage medium (108), and a microprocessor (106), which is configured to extract parameters from digitized input speech samples and provide the extracted parameters to the microprocessor.
Abstract: A distributed voice recognition system includes a digital signal processor (DSP)(104), a nonvolatile storage medium (108), and a microprocessor (106). The DSP (104) is configured to extract parameters from digitized input speech samples and provide the extracted parameters to the microprocessor (106). The nonvolatile storage medium contains a database of speech templates. The microprocessor is configured to read the contents of the nonvolatile storage medium (108), compare the parameters with the contents, and select a speech template based upon the comparison. The nonvolatile storage medium may be a flash memory. The DSP (104) may be a vocoder. If the DSP (104) is a vocoder, the parameters may be diagnostic data generated by the vocoder. The distributed voice recognition system may reside on an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC).

TL;DR: In this article, a method and system for distributing and personalizing E-Coupons include sending a generic E-coupon identifier to a mobile device and requesting a redeemable personalized personalized E-can coupon based on the generic Ecoupone identifier.
Abstract: A method and system for distributing and personalizing E-Coupons include sending a generic E-Coupon identifier to a mobile device and requesting a redeemable personalized E-Coupon based on the generic E-Coupon identifier. User location, time, purchase history and preference may be provided and used to personalize the E-Coupon. The personalized E-Coupon may then be distributed to the mobile device. The generic E-Coupon identifier may be distributed through different media, such as audio, video, multimedia or wireless data networks. For high security devices, the personalized E-Coupon may be sent digitally signed. For low security devices, the E-Coupon Manager may store the personalized E-Coupon and send to the mobile device a unique E-Coupon ID. The distributed personalized E-Coupons may be used to receive discounts at a merchant physical location or Internet site.

TL;DR: In this paper, a plurality of transmit antennas is used, where at least one transmit antenna of the plurality of antennas is configured to be oriented in a different plane than at least another transmit antenna.
Abstract: Exemplary methods and systems related to wireless charging are disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, a plurality of transmit antennas are used, wherein at least one transmit antenna of the plurality of transmit antennas is configured to be oriented in a different plane than at least one other transmit antenna of the plurality of transmit antennas. Furthermore, each transmit antenna of the plurality of transmit antennas is configured for transmitting power within an associated near-field.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present apparatus and methods operable to selectively choose and cache selected content from among the distributed targeted content, and to further choose content from the cached content to present on a device.
Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus and methods operable to distribute targeted content. Additionally, disclosed are corresponding apparatus and methods operable to selectively choose and cache selected ones from among the distributed targeted content, and to further choose ones from among the cached content to present on a device. In some aspects, selective caching of content may be based upon a match between predetermined content attribute information and predetermined profile information. Further, in some aspects, an indicator is operable to trigger the selective inclusion of one or more of the cached content in a presentation of other content, which may be based on a match between a desired content attribute associated with the indicator and the respective predetermined content attribute information of the cached content.
