01 Oct 2017TL;DR: Simulation results verify the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the mentioned methods with regard to the level shifted modulation carrier pulse width modulation.
Abstract: Different topologies of multilevel inverters can be observed, and one of them is T-type topology. It has a very simple structure combined of two-level inverter and of three-level neutral point clamped inverter. This paper deals with the level shifted modulation carrier pulse width modulation. Simulation results verify the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the mentioned methods.

TL;DR: In this article, a split ring resonator based multiband antenna for wireless applications with frequency-band reconfigurable features is presented, which has octagonal shape SRR structure fed at vertex as radiating section and rectangular shape switchable slotted ground part.
Abstract: In this paper authors present the design and analysis of split ring resonator based multiband antenna for wireless applications with frequency-band reconfigurable features. The proposed design has octagonal shape SRR structure fed at vertex as radiating section and rectangular shape switchable slotted ground part. The antenna has dimensions of 44 × 39 × 1.6 mm3 and fabricated on FR4 substrate. The proposed structure exhibit hexa operating resonance characteristics at 3.3, 5.0, 5.8, 6.6, 9.9 and 15.9 GHz to cover the wireless standards at lower WiMAX, upper WLAN, super extended C-band, middle X band and lower KU band respectively. Antenna achieve the frequency band reconfigurability characteristics by inserting PIN diode in slotted ground (reclined L-shaped) as triple/hexa resonant bands during OFF/ON switching state of PIN diode. An acceptable gain, stable and consistent radiation patterns with low cross polarization and good impedance matching are obtained at targeted frequency bands of proposed design.

TL;DR: The results shows that hybridisation of CUS with ABC improves the performance of ABC and proves the efficiency of proposed algorithm as hybridised ABC HABC.
Abstract: Artificial bee colony ABC optimisation algorithm is relatively a recent, fast and easy to implement population-based meta heuristic for optimisation. ABC has been proved a competitive algorithm with some popular swarm intelligence-based algorithms such as particle swarm optimisation, firefly algorithm and ant colony optimisation. However, it is observed that ABC algorithm is better at exploration but poor at exploitation. Due to large step size, the solution search equation of ABC has enough chance to skip the optimum. In order to balance this, ABC is hybridised with a local search called as classical unidimensional search CUS. The proposed algorithm is named as hybridised ABC HABC. In HABC, best solution of each iteration is further exploited in both its positive and negative direction in a predefined range which enhances the exploitation in ABC. The experiments are carried out on 15 test problems of different complexities and dimensions in order to prove the efficiency of proposed algorithm and compared with ABC. The results shows that hybridisation of CUS with ABC improves the performance of ABC.

01 Jan 2018TL;DR: A detailed survey of current works in the literature to offer result for resource scheduling in cloud computing is provided.
Abstract: Cloud computing combines different technologies to assist IT sector. In the cloud computing, management and distribution of resources are not easy. The main aim of cloud computing is to provide well-organized scheduling of resources for both cloud providers and users. The resource management includes the sharing of resources with multiple users. It becomes more complicated when done based on users demand. The main function of resource scheduling is to distribute the resources equally for user’s request. To perform resource scheduling, they require exact calculated user requests on all nodes involved in resource distribution process. This can be directly taken from total demanded resource requests. Thus, the efficiency of resource scheduling mainly depends on user request quality. It is more important to know what the most related works are and where the current study is pointing, to provide latest options that well denote today’s resource scheduling objectives. In this paper, we provide a detailed survey of current works in the literature to offer result for resource scheduling in cloud computing.

01 Nov 2016TL;DR: In this paper, a control scheme is proposed for reduction of circulating current and current distribution issues of parallel DC-DC converters modules, where the appropriate current sharing among the power converters can be achieved by using droop index algorithm.
Abstract: In this work, a control scheme is analyzed and proposed for reduction of circulating current and current distribution issues of parallel DC-DC converters modules. The appropriate current sharing among the power converters can be achieved by using droop index algorithm. The conventional droop method provides unequal current distribution and drop in dc grid voltage as a result of droop mechanism. Circulating current also arises due to differences in converter output voltages. To provide the appropriate current sharing and eliminate the circulating current droop index algorithm is introduced by changeable droop resistance in this paper. The projected methodology is explained by using two dc-dc parallel boost converters. Simulation studies verify the proposed control scheme.
