01 Sep 2019TL;DR: This paper focuses on reducing the total energy demand for a building by applying several improvements like reducing loads, applying insulation, etc and only connected load and improvement methods have been suggested which can save a total of about Rs. 31,507/-.
Abstract: Buildings are one of the major contributors to the consumption of electrical energy generated by power plants. Taking the context of India, out of total generated energy 30% is consumed by building sectors. Therefore, this paper focuses on reducing the total energy demand for a building by applying several improvements like reducing loads, applying insulation, etc. Optimum demand of a department of University is estimated using eQUEST software version 3.65.7175 in this research and comparative results are obtained. The present research focuses on only connected load and improvement methods have been suggested which can save a total of about Rs. 31,507/-. An estimated payback period of 7.9 year is also calculated for the replacement of new equipment’s with the present one.

TL;DR: The lightweight masonry material available in today's market is AAC blocks (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Blocks) whose density is about 1 3rd times of the clay bricks and fly ash bricks and about 1/5th of the concrete because of its foam-like structure made up of 80% of air voids while they are being used since the 1920s as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The lightest masonry material available in today's market is AAC blocks (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Blocks) whose density is about 1/3rd times of the clay bricks and fly ash bricks and about 1/5th times of the Concrete because of its foam-like structure made up of 80% of air voids while they are being used since the 1920s in most of the part in Europe still many are not accepting them in countries like India and America. Due to its lightweight and great thermal resistance, it is gaining popularity all across the world but not only it is gaining popularity because of its engineering properties but also because it is an eco-friendly product which is why even government and other organizations are promoting its usage. But this lightweight eco-friendly product is also economic as even after the initial costing is higher than clay bricks but its light weight causes the reduction in dead weight around 1/3rd times hence the total project cost decreases by 15-30%.

01 Sep 2018TL;DR: Results uncovered that EDFA is the best amplifier in researched SS-WDM-FSO system, and the exhibited design is accommodative, adaptable and minimal effort system that can perform well under environmental turbulence.
Abstract: Free space optics has been demonstrated to be for practical giving high security, simple establishment, more extensive transfer speed and high information rate data trade. A cost effective Kerr non linearity based spectrum slicing WDM FSO communication system is exhibited under various climate condition. The researched super continuum SS WDM FSO system is assessed at 3Gbps up to 25 km of connection separate. The approach is to cater the rapid information requests and along these lines system thought and showed from 3 to 10Gbps. The signal power has been expanded utilizing optical amplifier in FSO by WDM and after that investigated at 3Gbps to get the desired signal. Results uncovered that EDFA is the best amplifier in researched SS-WDM-FSO system. Additionally, the exhibited design is accommodative, adaptable and minimal effort system that can perform well under environmental turbulence SS-WDM has been progressed to help the long separation communication in FSO channel which helps enormous piece rate because of its high limit and proficiency.

01 Jan 2019TL;DR: Two-fold approach is proposed that works on minimizing makespan for parallel machines and performs caching operation to reduce the load on data servers during multi-query process, which is multiple sequence alignment (MSA).
Abstract: This paper proposes two-fold approach that works on minimizing makespan for parallel machines and performs caching operation to reduce the load on data servers during multi-query process. Makespan criterion is an NP-hard problem, which assigns jobs to machines so as to minimize the time by which the last job gets finished. Discrete version of particle swarm optimization (PSO) is implemented to schedule the processing of parallel machines, connected through message passing interface (MPI). Data caching on B-tree is performed on multiple processors for handling subsequent and concurrent queries. The multi-query process addressed here is multiple sequence alignment (MSA), which is one of the most challenging and prominent areas of bioinformatics with high computational cost. State-of-the-art alignment algorithm ClustalW is used for obtaining MSA of highly complex sequence sets. The results show the improvements in process time.

TL;DR: An effective local search technique that is designed by taking inspiration by Limaçon curve, is incorporated in ABCA and the designed strategy is named Limaç on inspired ABC (LABC) algorithm.
Abstract: The artificial bee colony algorithm (ABCA) has established itself as a signature algorithm in the area of swarm intelligence based algorithms. The hybridization of the local search technique enhances the exploitation capability in the search process of the global optimization strategies. In this article, an effective local search technique that is designed by taking inspiration by Limacon curve, is incorporated in ABCA and the designed strategy is named Limacon inspired ABC (LABC) algorithm. The exploitation capability of the LABC strategy is tested over 18 complex benchmark optimization problems. The test results are compared with similar state-of-art algorithms and statistical analysis shows the LABC can be considered an effective variant of the ABC algorithms to solve the complex optimization problems.
