TL;DR: In this article, a linear structure that can control and guide light was proposed for photonic crystal fiber. But, the design of the linear structure was not considered in this paper.
Abstract: Photonic crystal fibers have been used widely since 20 years back in the communication system. The aim of this paper is to introduce a linear structure that can control and guide light. Tri-core photonic crystal fiber is a newly developed technology through which some objectives are trying to be achieved. First of all, the aim is simply to minimize the dispersion, so that the design can be used in various communicating applications. Once dispersion is minimized, the objective is to minimize confinement loss, then to improve the transmission factor. All these objectives can be achieved by the proposed design of silica PCF having air hole distance or PITCH equal to 2 µm. Diameter of air holes increases from 0.5 to 1.5 µm. In the end, the proposed structure is analyzed for various sensing applications like salinity and temperature detection, stress detection, and glucose detection. Opti-FDTD is used to design this structure.

TL;DR: In this paper, the numerator of reduced order system is obtained using cuckoo optimization algorithm by minimizing integral square error between original and reduced order systems, which retains the stability and steady state value of the higher order system.
Abstract: Higher order systems are difficult to control and complex in nature hence, it is desirable to reduce these systems in the low order system. A system with constant coefficient but uncertain within finite range is known as interval system. This paper aims to reduce linear continuous time interval system using evolutionary technique. Cuckoo optimization algorithm technique has attracted vast attention among various evolutionary techniques. The Routh array is constructed to obtain denominator of higher order system using the generalized routh table. The numerator of reduced order system is obtained using cuckoo optimization algorithm by minimizing integral square error between original and reduced order system. Reduced order system retains the stability and steady state value of the higher order system. The numerical examples are illustrated and results are compared with the other well known methods.

TL;DR: Ultrasonic and infrared sensorsystems are going to be integrated into this wheelchair for providing best possible and safe movement.
Abstract: Independent mobility is an important aspectof self-esteem and plays a pivotal role in ”aging in place”.The smart wheelchair is an effort to provide an independentmobility to those persons who are unable to travel freely. Asmart wheelchair is an amalgamation of a standard powerdriving modules and a collection of sensors with an interfacingsection.Input control signal may be given by means of wirelessjoystick or touchpad that can be mounted on armrest also.Thisfeature makes it useful for the disabled persons who are ableto control the joystick and touchpad, and also it can be helpfulfor the caregiver like a nurse. Ultrasonic and infrared sensorsystems are going to be integrated into this wheelchair forproviding best possible and safe movement.

TL;DR: A fuzzy inference system is proposed with a specific consideration on the node energy, distance from base station and number of alive neighbours to decide the probability of a node, which has to be appointed a cluster head and also decides the size of cluster it may have.
Abstract: The problem of increasing network lifetime by reducing energy consumption becomes more significant as the topology of the wireless sensor network is not fixed and sensor nodes are located randomly within the networks. This paper focuses on maintaining the network connectivity as long as possible. A clustering method that checks connectivity during topology formation is proposed. A fuzzy inference system is proposed with a specific consideration on the node energy, distance from base station and number of alive neighbours to decide the probability of a node, which has to be appointed a cluster head and also decides the size of cluster it may have.

TL;DR: In the proposed optical research the DWDM network with 16-channels is designed for communicating using the Raman Amplifier (RA), the amplifier was studied with a Compensation technique for a 84 km fiber link.
Abstract: Optical communication system have undoubtedly revolutionized the satellite communication system. Such networks have become popular not just because of the higher data rate performances but also because of the higher bandwidth allotment and comparatively less attenuation over the long-haul channels. In the proposed optical research the DWDM network with 16-channels is designed for communicating using the Raman Amplifier (RA). The amplifier was studied with a Compensation technique for a 84 km fiber link. The performance evaluated was studied on the basis of bit error rate (BER), Eye-opening, Q-factor (Quality factor).
