TL;DR: In this paper, the theoretical concepts of piezoelectric material and functionally graded material (FGM) both are needed to model the functionally graded PPI material (FGPM).
Abstract: To model the functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM), the theoretical concepts of piezoelectric material and functionally graded material (FGM) both are needed. The basic introduction of piezoelectric material along with the fundamentals of FGM is needed before carrying out the study of FGPM. This chapter deals with the introduction of FGM and the concept of FGPM.

TL;DR: In this paper, a tapered slot antenna with added switched band functionality to operate in a wideband or narrowband mode is proposed for wireless applications, which is realized by inserting one pair of switchable square slots into the structure.
Abstract: A tapered slot antenna with added switched band functionality to operate in a wideband or narrowband mode is proposed for wireless applications. The antenna reconfiguration is realized by inserting one pair of switchable square slots into the structure. For switching purpose, PIN diodes are used. The antenna is designed on FR4 substrate that has dielectric constant of 4.9 and the height of the substrate is 1.6 mm. The size of antenna substrate is 72 mm × 70 mm. The structure is simulated on electromagnetic (EM) simulation software. The designed antenna operates over impedance bandwidth (1.9 to 7.5 GHz) for return loss S 11 11 < −10 dB when both diodes are in ON state. The wideband to narrowband frequency reconfigurable can be achieved by switching the diodes in OFF and ON conditions. The proposed antenna performance could be a suitable solution for multimode application requiring wideband and frequency reconfigurable antennas, such as in military applications and cognitive radio.

TL;DR: The utilization of the Monte Carlo simulation in blend with heuristic classification have been turned out to be a capable tool to perform chlorine residuals finding and contamination event occurrence in sensors inside the CEERI pressure zone.
Abstract: In this research paper EPANET and EPANET-MSX software tool is utilized to simulate the water network of CSIR-CEERI, Pilani. System is utilizing a real time contamination event detection algorithm, for detecting a randomly generated event using EPANET-MATLAB Toolkit. According to WHO (World Health Organisation) the required chlorine concentration for maintaining water quality is 0.5 mg/l. So re-chlorination stations are expected to include into network. A fixed detection threshold for chlorine residual is utilized for different sensing areas when chlorine concentration varies from this limit, controller module will adjust the value according to required level. Initial Chlorine, pipe roughness, demand pattern and others parameters of the underlying states of the water supply framework were created by Monte Carlo simulation method. This information of chlorine data is sent over a IOT integrated server. At that point this information is displayed over a user interactive application with the goal that a client intuitive view can be provided. The utilization of the Monte Carlo simulation in blend with heuristic classification have been turned out to be a capable tool to perform chlorine residuals finding and contamination event occurrence in sensors inside the CEERI pressure zone. By utilizing classification module’s output the event detection of contamination is done by raising a alert flag. Finally, this information about generated alerts are sent to the user, who is authorised to access and perform possible actions.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors have discussed microalgae as sustainable source of energy with certain challenges to overcome and future opportunities, they have shown that algal biomass productivities are plenty better than the ones of vascular flora and the extractable content of lipids that can be usefully transformed to biodiesel, triacylglycerol (TAGs) can be an awful lot higher than that of the oil seeds now used for first generation biodiesel.
Abstract: Since from centuries humans are utterly relied on the continual use of fossil for fulfilling daily desires, however with the increasing population fossil fuels are decreasing rapidly. Fossil fuels aren't thought as sustainable source of energy. Fossil fuel are the main reason for degradation of atmosphere and increasing greenhouse gas emission. Microalgae are 3rd generation biofuel renewable source of alternative energy, and is becoming popular with the improvement in its lipid extraction method. In comparison with plants microalgae can be grown fast and improved cultivation and harvesting techniques are helpful in maintaining healthy global environment. Further, algal biomass productivities are plenty better than the ones of vascular flora and the extractable content of lipids that can be usefully transformed to biodiesel, triacylglycerol (TAGs) can be an awful lot higher than that of the oil seeds now used for first generation biodiesel. However, realistic, cost effective production of biofuels from microalgae calls for that some of obstacles be triumph over. In this paper we will be discussing microalgae as sustainable source of energy with certain challenges to overcome and future opportunities.

TL;DR: In this paper, a literature review study on hollow core concrete slabs is presented, which aims to give the overview on the behaviour of hollow corecrete slabs under certain loading conditions.
Abstract: This paper gives the literature review study on hollow core concrete slabs. Studies related to the behaviour of hollow core concrete slabs are presented in this review paper. A hollow core concrete slab is a voided slab having continuous number of hollow cores in the slabs both concentric and eccentric to the axis of slabs. The present study aims to give the overview on the behaviour of hollow core concrete slabs under certain loading conditions.
