TL;DR: In this study, a new technique is introduced to GA based weighted average ensemble method of classification dataset which overcame the limitations of the classical weighted average method.
Abstract: Breast cancer prediction is an open area of research. Breast cancer is a classification problem which can be solved by machine learning models like a decision tree, random forest, support vector machine, and many more models. Each machine learning model has its own merits and demerits. In breast cancer prediction we need to improve the accuracy of models, so we use here ensemble method which combines predictions of multiple models. An ensemble is a method to increase the prediction accuracy of breast cancer. In this study, a new technique is introduced to GA based weighted average ensemble method of classification dataset which overcame the limitations of the classical weighted average method. Genetic algorithm based weighted average method is used for the prediction of multiple models. The comparison between Particle swarm optimization(PSO), Differential evolution(DE) and Genetic algorithm(GA) and it is concluded that the genetic algorithm outperforms for weighted average methods. One more comparison between classical ensemble method and GA based weighted average method and it is concluded that GA based weighted average method outperforms.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the impact of wind penetration on power system dynamics especially related to stability, and presented stability (voltage, small, and dynamic) analysis with Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based wind turbines.
Abstract: The exponential increase in demand for electricity in recent years has lead to fast exhaustion of conventional fossils fuels like; natural gas, coal, and oil. Thus it is imperative to move towards non conventional energy sources like; solar, biomass, hydro, and wind. Wind energy is considered as an environmental friendly, technologically developed, and cheap source of energy, among other available renewable sources. The main objective of this work is to investigate the impact of wind penetration on power system dynamics especially related to stability. This paper presents stability (voltage, small, and dynamic) analysis with Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based wind turbines. For this purpose, standard benchmark IEEE 14 bus system has been selected. Conventional synchronous generator is replaced by DFIG based wind turbines. The different scenarios have been simulated in MATLAB based toolbox PSAT. The PV curves, eigen value and time domain analysis have been performed to understand the impact of integration of DFIG based wind turbines on power system stability.

TL;DR: A watermarking scheme based on finite radon transform (FRAT), fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT) and singular value decomposition is proposed, which provides additional degree of freedom in security, robustness, payload capacity and visual transparence.
Abstract: Watermarking is proposed as solution to authentication, copyright protection and security requirements of multimedia objects (speech, image and video). In this paper a watermarking scheme based on finite radon transform (FRAT), fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT) and singular value decomposition is proposed. In the proposed scheme, image to be watermarked is first transformed by finite radon transform, the radon transformed image is further transformed by FRFT, and singular values of FRFT transformed image are modified to embed the watermark. Inverse transformation is applied to obtain watermarked image. Simulations are performed under various test conditions with different FRFT transform angles for improved robustness and visual transparence of watermarked image. Results of the proposed scheme are better in comparison to the existing schemes for most of the attacks. Proposed scheme provide additional degree of freedom in security, robustness, payload capacity and visual transparence. Proposed scheme can also be used to communicate or store the watermarked image as erasure code, to reduce communication errors over a network, due to the use of FRAT.

TL;DR: FLC tuned by PI controller is superior to the other control strategies because of fast transient response, minimum steady state error and good disturbance rejection under various variations of the operating conditions, and achieves the most closely output voltage regulation.
Abstract: DC-DC converters are used to convert one DC voltage to other. One of the main limitations of these converters is unregulated supply of voltage and current. To overcome these problems there are various control techniques used in combination with these converters. The aims of developing the converters are high efficiency and high gain with fast response. A feedback controller for DC-DC boost converter is designed to obtain constant output voltage. Design equations are derived and it is modeled in MATLAB. Extensive simulation is carried out with linear controller parameters and the results are presented. Fuzzy logic controllers (FLC) and FLC tuned by PI controller have been investigated. The comparative study Results point out that FLC tuned by PI controller is superior to the other control strategies because of fast transient response, minimum steady state error and good disturbance rejection under various variations of the operating conditions. Hence, it achieves the most closely output voltage regulation.

TL;DR: A smooth battery bank charging and discharging system with solar power as the input supply source is discussed, which requires a large capital investment but provides uninterrupted emergency power when needed.
Abstract: Telecom sites get the power normally from the grid. At the occurrence of power outages power need to be supplied for telecom sites. The battery bank is a good option for telecom sites to fulfil power demand. This paper discusses a smooth battery bank charging and discharging system with solar power as the input supply source. The system requires a large capital investment, but it provides uninterrupted emergency power when needed. Maintaining battery banks is essential for getting optimum performance. This paper also discusses the power requirements for telecom sites backup and various parameter impacts on battery life. Methods are derived to optimize charging management of batteries in order to get maximum lifespan in addition to better battery performance throughout its useful life.
