Abstract: In this chapter, the author reviews the literature to understand the association between the adoption of green supply chain practices and abnormal returns during COVID-19 outbreak to test whether companies adopting green supply chain policies experienced lesser negative returns during the market collapse. In this chapter, the author discusses various drivers for establishing sustainability in supply chain following the COVID-19 pandemic and establishes an empirical relation between sustainability and effectiveness. The following topics are highlighted in this chapter: (1) introduction to green supply chain management, (2) environmental benefit of green supply chain management, (3) economic aspect of green supply chain management, (4) trend in supply chain management, (5) sustainable supply chain and COVID-19, (6) drivers of supply chain sustainability in context of COVID-19, and (7) green supply chain management policies.

Abstract: Abstract This chapter presents an overview of some of the major ethical arguments for and against the use of autonomous weapons systems (AWS). More specifically, this chapter looks at the set of contingent arguments as well as the set of in principle arguments for and against their use. After summarizing these various views, the chapter argues that AWS do not pose new or novel ethical problems. If we think an AWS makes actual decisions in the ‘strong AI’ sense, then by virtue of being a decision-maker, that entity would therefore have rights and interests worthy of our moral concern. If we, however, think an AWS does not make actual decisions, but is instead just an institutional proxy for the collective set of human decisions comprising it, then we ought to treat an AWS, both morally and metaphysically, like we would treat any other collective action problem.

Abstract: End item deliveries to government customers are usually accompanied by a multitude of required documents, typically in print-ready formats such as Microsoft Word or Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Preparing these documents requires tedious manual collation and re-formatting of data from a multitude of data sources, which takes a significant amount of labor, is error-prone, and incurs lengthy review and approval cycles.How can we modernize our document preparation to support continuous release and delivery? Continuous Documentation (CDoc)! By leveraging the Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASOTs) for data already within our DevSecOps pipelines, we can extend the concept of “Documents as Code” (DaC) to reliably and repeatably automate document preparation using a suite of Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) tools. Continuous Documentation ensures documents are ready for delivery and release in the print-ready formats customers expect at the same time as the software they accompany.
