TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of drying methods on the physicochemical and sensory properties of wheat flour cookies produced with Moringa powder fortification was investigated and the results showed significant differences in weight of all the cookie samples from various drying methods while there was no significant difference in fresh leaves and control cookie samples.
Abstract: The study was undertaken to determine the effect of drying methods on the physicochemical and sensory properties of wheat flour cookies produced with Moringa powder fortification. Cookies were produced with Moringa leaf powder derived from various drying methods (shade drying, sun drying and oven drying) and fresh leaves prior to milling and used in the formulations. The physical properties, proximate compositions and sensory attributes of the cookies were analysed. The results showed significant differences in weight of all the cookie samples from various drying methods while there was no significant difference in the fresh leaves and control cookie samples. Oven dried sample was the least in height (0.67), higher in diameter (3.80) and spread ratio (5.79) compared to other drying methods studied. All Moringa supplemented cookies had significantly lower (P 0.05) higher fibre compared to the control sample. Sensory scores showed highest acceptability with the control sample (8.30) but there was no significant difference between the general acceptability of shade and sun dried samples (6.95 and 6.70), respectively. The findings suggest preliminary prospects for the development of Moringa fortified cookies for potential nutritional health benefits.

TL;DR: Patients’ perception of care correlated significantly with patients’ satisfaction, suggesting good staff-patient interaction and proper organisational behaviour could improve patients' perception of Care.
Abstract: Background: Patients’ perception of care is considered to influence their satisfaction with the service provided. However, this has received minor attention in radiography practice in Nigeria with no quantitative study from available literature search. Method: A total of 200 self-completion questionnaires were delivered to four radiology departments within the north-eastern states of Nigeria (50 to each centre). The questionnaires included questions on patient demographics as well as ordinal scales for patients to rate their care on various indices and a 10 visual analogue scale to rate their overall satisfaction, while an open-ended question was used to assess patients’ expectation of radiology staff. 142 questionnaires (71%) were returned. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were done. Tests were two-tailed with p smaller than 0.05 indicating statistical significance. Results: Patients’ perception of care correlated significantly with patients’ satisfaction. Conclusion: Good staff-patient interaction and proper organisational behaviour could improve patients’ perception of care.

TL;DR: In this paper, the inhibitory effect of Acanthus montanus leaves extract on aluminium corrosion in hydrochloric acid solutions was studied using weight loss technique and it was found that the leaves extract retards the acid induced corrosion of aluminium.
Abstract: The inhibitive effect of Acanthus montanus leaves extract on aluminium corrosion in hydrochloric acid solutions was studied using weight loss technique. It was found that the leaves extract retards the acid induced corrosion of aluminium. Inhibition efficiency was observed to increase with increase in inhibitor concentration but decreased with rise in temperature. Thermodynamic studies revealed that the corrosion inhibition may be due to the spontaneous physical adsorption of the extract constituents on aluminium surface. Adsorption was found to obey Temkin isotherm. A first– order mechanism has been deduced from the results at all temperatures studied.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the benefits of talent management for both the individual and the organization and concluded that talent management is a significant predictor of organizational effectiveness, and suggested that management should map out strategies to identify, attract and hire talented individuals.
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to examine talent management and organizational effectiveness. To achieve this, from literature, the concept of talent management with its dimensions of talent acquisition, talent development and talent retention as well as benefits of talent management for both the individual and the organization were examined. Also, the concept of organizational effectiveness, its measures of goal attainment, resource acquisition and internal processes were examined with the aim of showing that talent management can realistically result in organizational effectiveness. The paper adopted a literature review methodology. The findings in extant literature revealed that talent management significantly enhances organizational effectiveness. Based on extant literature, the paper concludes that talent management is a significant predictor of organizational effectiveness. In the end, it was firstly recommended that management should map out strategies to identify, attract and hire talented individuals because for organizations to perform satisfactorily and outcompete their competitors, they need to device strategies to attract and acquire the right kind of talent essential to attainment of corporate goals. Secondly, management should endeavour to marry organizational and employee interests by formulating and implementing policies and practices that favours the career development of the employee. Lastly, that management should introduce and maintain a reward(s) and recognition system as this serves as an important component in building and retaining talent(s) in an organization.
