Abstract: The impacts of satellite geodesy are being felt in all aspects of human development and environmental management. Its principal advantages stem from the global nature of its scope, the diversity of its sensors and the realtime capabilities to capture both visual, numerical and other data types for as long as desired and in all weather conditions. The capacity to pinpoint locations to high precision in fractions of a second and provide detailed geometric and graphical definitions of large swaths are proving useful for meeting the needs of a people desirous for automation in all aspects of human endeavours and for confronting the increasing challenges of sustainable development and environmental degradation. The most innovative facility provided by satellite geodesy is the technology of remote sensing which enables measurements of objects without physical contact for interpretative and mensurative analysis and mapping in static or kinematic modes. The aim of this paper is to showcase the contributions of satellite geodesy to sustainable environmental management its basic concepts and a brief exploration of some of its applications. The overall objective is to underscore its critical role in socio-economic development. The paper posits therefore that today’s rapidly changing environmental problems requiring static and realtime locational and graphical solutions can be solved through the facilities of satellite geodesy.

Abstract: The onset of instability, due to the combined effects of thermal and mass concentration gradients, is investigated in the hydrodynamic stability regime. It is found that the critical Rayleigh number, which determines the onset of instability, increases as the chemical reaction rate constant increases hyperbolically over a wide range of values at both moderate and high permeabilities. In addition, the instability grows with increase in porosity. Previous results show that the critical Rayleigh number rises linearly when only the mass concentration gradient is considered.

Abstract: Voice control automation system is a system that enables the control of appliances with your voice through which an android application and an Arduino mega board is used to control the relay through which an appliance is switched on/off. The aim of the research was to develop a voice support platform, design an interface for a Bluetooth medium and a microcontroller board (Arduino board), activate communication between an android device and the Bluetooth-enabled microcontroller board wirelessly via Bluetooth communication, detect and transfer speech data via Bluetooth to the microcontroller board, prepare a software to run on the microcontroller that will perform the necessary control, and prepare the software to run on the android device in other to get speech data and transferring over Bluetooth. The methodology used in this project was waterfall model. The output design of the proposed system consists of the Bluetooth module, Arduino, and the relays. The Bluetooth module receives the input data and sends it to the Arduino, and then it processes the input command and sends an output signal to a particular relay required for switching. The complete application software was achieved successfully by using Android, C Language, Bluetooth module, microcontroller, and relay.
