TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed Nigeria's recent attempts at incomes policy and concluded that future policies need to be kept to a one-year maximum in order to generate sufficient public support to guarantee success Enforcement of incomes policies should also be guided strictly by the law.
Abstract: Having reviewed Nigeria's recent attempts at incomes policy, it is concluded that future policies need to be kept to a one‐year maximum in order to generate sufficient public support to guarantee success Enforcement of incomes policies should also be guided strictly by the law, and guidelines should be vigorously pursued and upheld Whether this will be achieved, however, is rather less certain

TL;DR: From the study it can be deduced that clay consumption has the potential to elicit the activities of antioxidant markers and subsequent depletion providing weak defenses against reactive oxygen species (ROS) and liver damage in the rats.
Abstract: The changes in the antioxidant markers and histopathology in both adult male and female wistar rats fed with Calabash Chalk (nzu) was investigated. Twenty (20) wistar rats weighing between (120-150 g) were used for this study. They were randomly divided into four (4) Groups containing five (5) animals each (n=5) A-D. Groups (B-D) were fed with 1.0%, 2.0% and 8.0% of clay. Group A, not fed with clay served as control. After 21 days of continuous feeding, the animals were sacrificed and their liver organs excised for the following antioxidant markers (Catalase CAT, Reduced Glutathione GSH, Superoxide dismutase, SOD) and histopathology. The results showed significant (p< 0.05) increase in catalase activity in rats fed with 1.0% and 8.0% clay compared to control (0 clay) and group fed with 2.0%. However, no significant (p>0.05) difference was obtained for the group fed with 2.0% when compared to control. The results obtained for GSH and SOD also showed no significant (p>0.05) difference in the fed groups when compared to control. Histopathological changes indicated mild periportal and intraparenchymal inflammation in group fed with 8.0%. From the study it can be deduced that clay consumption has the potential to elicit the activities of antioxidant markers and subsequent depletion providing weak defenses against reactive oxygen species (ROS) and liver damage in the rats. TL;DR: The antibody-treated log phase organisms were less viable on the blood agar medium and in the spleen and liver than the control organisms, indicating that pretreatment with antibody has a lethal effect on N. asteroides and affects its survival in vivo.
Abstract: Nocardia asteroides from various growth phases was treated in vitro with normal rabbit sera, immune rabbit sera containing nocardial polyclonal antibodies and a monoclonal antibody. At intervals, samples were grown in broth or on blood agar plates to determine their viability. Log and stationary phase cells were injected intra-peritoneally into female BALB/c mice and their survival rates in the liver and spleen were determined. Presensitization with antibodies reduced the viability of the log phase cells by 48% and that of the late stationary phase by 4%. The antibody-treated log phase organisms were less viable on the blood agar medium and in the spleen and liver than the control organisms. This indicates that pretreatment with antibody has a lethal effect on N. asteroides and affects its survival in vivo.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors highlight the structure and features of an online forum which makes it an effective communication tool between the lecturer and students of an institution, and highlight the features of the online forum that make it an efficient communication tool.
Abstract: The problem of communication between students and teachers in an educational institution is a major concern. This is because some students find it difficult to participate in classroom lectures because of their inability to socialize; also lecturers do not often have enough time to elaborate on the topics they have to teach for a particular class, hence, the decline in students’ understanding of a given topic. Computer mediated communication (CMC) brought about the effective use of online forum for communication. This journal highlights the structure and features of an online forum which makes it an effective communication tool between the lecturer and students of an institution.
