Los cuidados de larga duración y el cuarto pilar del sistema de bienestar

Abstract: This article analyses the Spanish and especially Catalan public policies for long term care. These policies change the distribution of care between family, state, and market. We have arrived at three main conclusions. Firstly, public policies complement and doesn’t substitute the role of the family, which continues to have an important care role. Second, the involvement of the state does not decrease the market role. On the contrary, the market has expanded. Thirdly, public policies have not changed the gender structure. Women remain the principal caretaker and men are hardly ever involved. These policies have been halted because of the economic crisis. The social construction of women as care providers has been reinforced as the result of budget restrictions and diminished social rights.

"Ethnoscapes" domésticos y rite de passage: significación y cronicidad del diagnóstico en esquizofrenia

Abstract: A partir de los resultados de un estudio etnografico realizado con personas diagnosticadas de esquizofrenia y sus familiares en Barcelona y Tarragona durante un ano, se problematizan las transformaciones de los roles y relaciones dentro del espacio domestico a partir del acontecimiento del primer brote y la asignacion del diagnostico como ritual de paso. Para ello, se recurre a una lectura cultural de la familia, entendiendo el grupo como un ethnoscape especifico. Se analiza la concepcion de la cronicidad, y sus consecuencias en la conformacion del rol de enfermo en el marco de las relaciones de parentesco, y se discuten las paradojas en terminos de autonomia para los afectados, debido a la proyeccion de la connotacion cultural de cronicidad.

Los discursos de la igualdad en la empresa. El caso de la industria química de Tarragona

Abstract: This paper presents a proposal for analyzing discourses on gender equality in organizations. The research is carried out as a case study, focusing on the chemical industry in Tarragona. To the question: why there are still so many differences between women and men in labour market, despite having multiple tools to avoid inequalities? we propose to focus on discourses of equality to find an answer. The viewpoint that companies have on gender is crucial in enabling policies for equality. To ensure that policies are truly aimed at promoting equality, it is needed a gender approach that nowadays is not widespread in organizations. From these considerations, we present a fourfold typology of discourses on equality in organizations.

De lagos propios a Patrimonio de la Nación. Disputas por el espacio acuático en la Reserva Nacional Pacaya Samiria

Abstract: The ethnographic research undertook between 2008 and 2015 around a fishing conflict in a lake of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve —RNPS, Peru— revealed the historical, political and cultural vicissitudes of the communal organization of the aquatic spaces of lowland Amazon. The results show that the creation of the protected natural area and its management policies negatively affected the local customs. Although the administration of the natural area discourse promoted collaboration with the inhabitants, it did not take into account local customary norms, Kukama-Kukamiria aquatic cosmology, and notions such as ‘mezquineo,’ which submit to social control the extraction of resources. This paper analyzes the articulations between the implemented institutional management and the customary communal logics that regulated the access and the use of the lake. The research found that both the customary and the state regulations are in dispute over the sovereignty of aquatic spaces, and that co-management has never been fully implemented, given the difficulty of public institutions in sharing power with communities.

"Abhold, leid, gewillt"... ¿Son adjetivos? Estableciendo un corpus para un diccionario sintáctico alemán-español de adjetivos

Abstract: Si se pretende elaborar un diccionario de adjetivos, ya sea este monolingue o bilingue, la primera tarea que se le impone al lexicografo es la de definir que es un adjetivo, una cuestion que todavia hoy no ha sido resuelta satisfactoriamente. En aleman hay una serie de palabras que han sido descritas tradicionalmente como adjetivos en funcion exclusivamente predicativa, cuyo estatus como adjetivos es, sin embargo, cuestionado por algunos autores. En este articulo se trata de dilucidar si estas palabras realmente solo pueden aparecer en funcion predicativa, como se las describe en diccionarios y gramaticas y cuales son sus principales correspondencias en espanol, a fin de decidir si deberian ser incluidas en un corpus destinado a la elaboracion de un diccionario sintactico de adjetivos aleman-espanol.

Los adjetivos derivados en alemán y en español

Abstract: The process of creating derivative adjectives exists in both German and Spanish. The main aim of this project is to analyse the mechanisms of suffixes in both languages with a view to establishing how far parallels exist in the suffixes of these languages. In addition, the project aims to discuss the valence of derivative adjectives and to analyse the descriptions of suffixed adjectives in bilingual dictionaries. This will allow us to measure the deficiencies that should be overcome in this respect.
