TL;DR: This vision paper argues that adopting an agile approach boils down to being more responsive to change, and relates agile principles, practices, the agile manifesto, and the author's own experiences to this core definition.
Abstract: There is some ambiguity of what agile means in both research and practice. Authors have suggested a diversity of different definitions, through which it is difficult to interpret what agile really is. The concept, however, exists in its implementation through agile practices. In this vision paper, we argue that adopting an agile approach boils down to being more responsive to change. To support this claim, we relate agile principles, practices, the agile manifesto, and our own experiences to this core definition. We envision that agile transformations would be, and are, much easier using this definition and contextualizing its implications.

TL;DR: In this article, a reactive ballistic protection plate for fragmenting a projectile comprising an outer layer of material (10) and an inner layer of materials (30), wherein the layers (10,30) are bonded together by a explosive welding joint (20), comprising high energy tensions.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a reactive ballistic protection plate (1) for fragmenting a projectile comprising an outer layer of material (10) and an inner layer of material (30), wherein the layers (10,30) are bonded together by a explosive welding joint (20), wherein the reactive ballistic protection comprises high energy tensions. The invention further discloses a method of manufacturing such a plate and the use of such a plate.

TL;DR: This paper describes how a radar is modernized with a digital receiver, including the characterization of the old analogue receiver and different aspects of the system design of the new digital receiver that ensures an inherent flexibility in waveform design.
Abstract: This paper describes how a radar is modernized with a digital receiver. The paper shows the methodology for this, including the characterization of the old analogue receiver and different aspects of the system design of the new digital receiver. The existing radar is modernized in an evolutionary process i.e. replace one or a few sub-units at a time with the latest technology. For the case in this paper the radar was modernized with a digital receiver. Several analogue units were replaced with two PCBs containing FPGAs. This gives higher reliability and lower Life Cycle Cost, reduces the obsolescence risk and, ensures an inherent flexibility in waveform design.

TL;DR: In this article, a simulation system for use in military exercise of combat in an area having at least one building has a transmitter (5) arranged on a firearm for simulating firing of a shot and a detecting means (7) to be arranged on the body of a soldier.
Abstract: A simulation system for use in military exercise of combat in an area having at least one building has a transmitter (5) arranged on a firearm (4) for simulating firing of a shot and a detecting means (7) to be arranged on the body of a soldier. Sensors (6, 8) are adapted to sense whether said transmitter and said detecting means are located indoors or outdoors. The detecting means is designed to discriminate between normal power signals fired from outdoors and indoors, whereas the transmitter is adapted to emit signals of normal power when located outdoors and signal of normal power as well as a substantially lower power when located indoors.
