TL;DR: In this paper, a rebalancing device (100) is presented to rebalance an underwater vehicle comprising at least one thruster and at least storage space, which is used to determine a difference between a center of gravity, CoG, of the underwater vehicle and a centre of buoyancy, CoB, based on sensor data and thruster data.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a rebalancing device (100) for rebalancing of an underwater vehicle comprising at least one thruster and at least one storage space. The rebalancing device (100) comprises control circuitry (140). The control circuitry (140) is configured to receive sensor data comprising information relating to a depth and an attitude of the underwater vehicle, and thruster data comprising information relating to thrust and orientation of thrust of the at least one thruster. The control circuitry (140) is further configured to determine a difference between a centre of gravity, CoG, of the underwater vehicle and a centre of buoyancy, CoB, of the underwater vehicle based on the sensor data and the thruster data, and to determine a difference between a gravitational force acting on the underwater vehicle and a buoyancy of the underwater vehicle based on the sensor data and the thruster data. The control circuitry (140) is also configured to generate rebalancing information relating to a deviation of a current load distribution from an ideal load distribution based on the determined differences. The present disclosure also relates to corresponding underwater vehicles, methods and computer programs.

TL;DR: In this paper, a rod, a resilient member, a structure element and a locking member are arranged to detachably lock the structure element at a resting position at the rod and the resilient member is supported by the resilient members.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a shock absorbing arrangement suitable e.g. for ship installed structures comprising a rod, a resilient member arranged in connection to the rod, a structure element and a locking member arranged in connection to the structure element. The locking member is arranged to detachably lock the structure element at a resting position at the rod and the locking member, or the structure element, is supported by the resilient member. The resilient member is configured such that a spring force of the resilient member acts to maintain the structure element essentially at the resting position at the rod. The locking member is further configured to release the structure element from the resting position when being exposed to a force exceeding a predetermined holding force, whereupon the resilient member acts to reinstate the locking of the structure element at the resting position at the rod. The present disclosure further relates to a shock absorbing structure comprising such shock absorbing arrangements.

TL;DR: In this paper, an arrangement for locking arming conditions to prevent unintentional arming of SAI-units of ammunition units when the ammunition unit is subjected to external threats is presented. But the arrangement is limited to the case of a single SAI unit.
Abstract: An arrangement for locking arming conditions to prevent unintentional arming of SAI-units of ammunition units when the ammunition unit is subjected to external threats. A ring shaped shape memory alloy is provided in cooperation with a recess in a plunger arranged in connection to the SAI-unit and a fixed recess to prevent the plunger from axial movement when subjected to heating by changing the shape of the essentially ring shaped shape memory alloy to lock the plunger relative to the fixed recess.

TL;DR: This paper develops a simple model, based on constant speed assumptions, realizes it in a particle filter, and evaluates the performance in a scenario where a vessel moves in a narrow channel.
Abstract: This paper addresses the problem of tracking targets in the presence of spatial constraints, typically in ground or littoral environments. It has been observed that manned targets move in a way avoiding constraints, e.g. roadsides. For best tracking accuracy and reliability, especially in cases of sparse measurements, this fact ought to be reflected in the dynamic equations of motion. We develop a simple model, based on constant speed assumptions, realize it in a particle filter, and evaluate the performance in a scenario where a vessel moves in a narrow channel.
