TL;DR: An overview of a 10Gbit channel analyzed by the software tool HyperLynx is presented and different design options and their relation to signal integrity have been addressed.
Abstract: The increase in clock frequency for high-speed circuits and applications such as a serial 10Gbit Ethernet put a high demand on the signal integrity of the PCB. Modeling, analysis and characterization of these serial interfaces are getting required to get the intended performance in the communication channel. This paper presents an overview of a 10Gbit channel analyzed by the software tool HyperLynx. Different design options and their relation to signal integrity have been addressed. Also, the simulated performance is validated using an eye diagram.

TL;DR: In this article, a device for the control of the behaviour of one or more simulated vehicles is described. But it does not specify whether the vehicle is controlled with the help of a number of rules.
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for the control of the behaviour of one or more simulated vehicles. The device comprises differentunits (10, 12, 16, 18, 20) for supervising the device, for presenting information and for making it possible to input instructions. The behaviour of the vehicle is controlled with the help of a number of rules (14). Each rule (14) comprises one or more premises (22) and conclusions (24). The premises (22) are assigned an indicator which may indicate different conditions, viz. that the premise (22) shall be true, that the premise (22) shall be false or that it does not matter whether the premise (22) is true or false. The invention also concerns a method of generating rules (14) suited to control the behaviour of a real or a simulated vehicle. The generation may be done by detecting the behaviour of a real/simulated vehicle controlled by a driver. Alternatively, the rules may be generated without detecting the behaviour of a driver-controlled vehicle.

TL;DR: The capabilities of this approach are demonstrated by providing a compact yet expressive description of the AESA signal processing chain, generating automatic test-cases to verify the conformity of model with design specifications, synthesize a part of it to VHDL and co-simulate the generated artifact to validate its correctness.
Abstract: With the ever increasing complexity in safety-critical and performance-demanding application domains such as automotive and avionics, the costs of designing, producing and especially testing systems does not scale well for the next generation of applications. One example is the active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna signal processing chain, which is currently out-of-reach from consumer products but rather part of a few exclusive hi-tech appliances. To cope with the associated complexity of such systems, we propose a design flow starting from a high-level formal modeling language which captures and exposes important design properties to enable their systematic exploitation for the purpose of simulation, analysis and synthesis towards cost-efficient implementations. We demonstrate the capabilities of this approach by providing a compact yet expressive description of the AESA signal processing chain, generate automatic test-cases to verify the conformity of model with design specifications, synthesize a part of it to VHDL and co-simulate the generated artifact to validate its correctness.

TL;DR: In this paper, an arrangement at an aircraft (12) of a dispenser unit (8) for countermeasures (10), comprising a wall (18) of an aircraft fuselage and a dispensing nozzle (16) arranged on the dispenser units, through which the counter measures (10) are dispensed, is described.
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement at an aircraft (12) of a dispenser unit (8)for countermeasures (10), comprising a wall (18) of an aircraft fuselage (2) and a dispensing nozzle (16) arranged on the dispenser unit (8), through which the counter measures (10) are dispensed. The dispenser unit (8) is arranged within the aircraft fuselage (2) and in that an aperture (6) for dispensing the countermeasures (10) is arranged in the outer wall (18) of the aircraft fuselage (2), which aperture (6) is arranged to substantially coincide with the dispensing nozzle (16).
