10 May 2010TL;DR: This work considers the radar signal return to be originating from discrete point scatterers, and utilize this to estimate clutter echoes and calibrate a multi-channel array to indicate that this approach can indeed be used as an alternative to traditional STAP.
Abstract: We consider the radar signal return to be originating from discrete point scatterers, and utilize this to estimate clutter echoes and calibrate a multi-channel array. The point scatterers are parameterized with a specific Doppler and spatial frequency (u and v direction). Previous work considering this formulation of clutter is the SCHISM approach. Their estimation is based on the radar version of CLEAN. For many cases where the scatterers are well separated, the CLEAN algorithm is fast and accurate. However, for closely spaced scatterers (in either Doppler or space), the CLEAN method suffers. Thus, to enhance the ability to resolve such scatterers we instead employ a new estimator (RESCUE) that uses the approach introduced in RELAX. As for SCHISM, range gates are processed individually and independently from each other and sample covariance matrices are avoided. Real world multi-channel data are used to demonstrate the proposed method. The results are very promising and indicate that this approach can indeed be used as an alternative to traditional STAP.

10 Jan 2007TL;DR: In this article, a stopper member is configured to be placed in the barrel in front of and adjacent to a shell loaded therein, with at least three radially expandable legs, which are distributed circumferentially and configured to face and engage a tapered front surface of the shell.
Abstract: A device for restraining a shell in a barrel of a disposable anti-armour weapon being stored in a compartment of a transport box. A stopper member is configured to be placed in the barrel in front of and adjacent to a shell loaded therein. The stopper member has at least three radially expandable legs, which are distributed circumferentially and configured to face and engage a tapered front surface of the shell in the barrel. The legs are provided with gripping elements on radially outermost surfaces thereof and configured to cut into the barrel wall upon a forward movement of the shell in the barrel.

01 Oct 2018TL;DR: A number of mitigation techniques against upsets are discussed together with the use of a COTS IP and practical tests are performed to validate the upset rates and mitigation techniques.
Abstract: The increase in performance and the relatively low cost have made the FPGA an attractive technology for use in various product areas. When used in safety-critical applications, the susceptibility against upsets due to cosmic radiation requires special considerations. In this paper, a number of mitigation techniques against upsets are discussed together with the use of a COTS IP. Furthermore, practical tests are performed to validate the upset rates and mitigation techniques. The tests are performed on a Xilinx UltraScale+MPSOC FPGA.

05 May 2017TL;DR: A dispenser for storing and launching countermeasures from an aircraft, comprising an elongate body provided with at least one launch opening adapted for storing the countermeasures in cartridges, where the dispenser comprises a manoeuvrable spoiler arranged in front of the launch opening.
Abstract: A dispenser for storing and launching countermeasures from an aircraft, comprising an elongate body provided with at least one launch opening adapted for storing the countermeasures in cartridges, where the dispenser comprises a manoeuvrable spoiler arranged in front of the launch opening, where the spoiler is adapted to be fully retracted before a countermeasure has been launched, and that the spoiler is adapted to extend outwards in a predefined manner when a countermeasure has been launched The advantage of the invention is that a spoiler will reduce induced noise from the open cartridges by extending a spoiler outwards depending on the number of launched countermeasures This allows for a simple, reliable and cost-effective solution

04 Dec 2008TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a key issuer for an access system, a key carrier and an access unit of an access systems, where the key issuer is arranged to issue user keys for access to one or a plurality of access units.
Abstract: The present invention related to a key issuer for an access system, a key carrier and an access unit of an access system. The key issuer is arranged to issue user keys for access to one or a plurality said access units. Each user key comprises a signature for validation of the key issuer and credential information for verification of the user of the user key. The key issuer is arranged to provide the signature using a private encryption key of the key issuer. The key issuer is arranged to encrypt the credential information using a public key of the access unit.
