08 Nov 2011TL;DR: In this paper, a method for determining the location of a firer and a route planning method for route planning is presented. But this method is not suitable for the use of a moving object.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining the location of a firer, furthermore a system and method for route planning (700). The system is arranged to be mounted on a moving object. The system comprises a position module (702), a firer location estimation module (704) and a route planning module (705). The position module (702) is arranged register the present position of the moving object at request and to determine the travel path of the moving object during a predetermined time period preceding the request, wherein the present position represents a target position for firing. The firer location method and the estimation module (704) is arranged to estimate the location of a firer based on the registered position and the determined travel path and based on map data (701 ) comprising 3D geographical coordinates data. The route planning module (705) arranged to plan a route of the object based on the determined location of the firer.

01 Aug 2018TL;DR: In this article, a method and a device for detecting at least one target in an image, wherein the image comprises a set of pixels with a magnitude assigned to each pixel is provided, and the method comprises an iterative process until the K+1th target does not show a probability increase above a predetermined threshold value.
Abstract: A method and a device for detecting at least one target in an image, wherein the image comprises a set of pixels with a magnitude assigned to each pixel is provided. The method comprises an iterative process until the K+1th target does not show a probability increase above a predetermined threshold value. The method is performed by creating a candidate free image, calculating, for the candidate free image, the probability of there being a target at each pixel, by using Bayes theorem, determining a location of the candidate target K+1 in the image, determining the probability that there is a target at the determined location, by determining the calculated probability of there being a target at the determined location. By performing the above, the most probable locations for targets in the image are located together with the probability that the location holds a true target.

17 May 2017TL;DR: In this paper, a breech for noise reduction in a recoil-less weapon is described, which is adapted to be arranged in fluid communication with a launcher of the weapon to release exhaust gas.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a breech (103) for noise reduction in a recoil-less weapon (100). The breech (103) is adapted to be arranged in fluid communication with a launcher (102) of the weapon (100) to release exhaust gas. The breech (103) comprises a venturi tube. The venturi tube has an inlet at a first end adapted to be connected to the launcher, and an outlet for releasing the exhaust gas at a second end, wherein the area of the outlet is larger than the area of the inlet. The venturi tube further comprises an exhaust gas controlling element formed at the venturi tube structure. The exhaust gas controlling element is arranged to control the release of exhaust gas so as to decrease a sound pressure peak at the weapon. The inner envelope surface of the venturi tube is configured, such that the inner envelope surface does not alter or at least has a very small influence on recoil characteristics of the weapon. The present disclosure also relates to recoil-less weapons comprising a breech according to the present disclosure, as well as methods for manufacturing a breech according to the present disclosure.
