24 Nov 2004TL;DR: In this paper, a jamming device on an object for jamming a target seeker arranged to generate an image of its surroundings and extract targets from the image was presented, where a laser is arranged to emit laser radiation at the target seeker so that the laser radiation is projected on the image.
Abstract: A jamming device on an object for jamming a target seeker arranged to generate an image of its surroundings and extract targets from the image. A laser is arranged to emit laser radiation at the target seeker so that the laser radiation is projected on the image. A modulator is disposed in connection with the laser and is arranged to modulate the intensity pattern of the laser radiation with the intent of manipulating the image in order to make it more difficult for the target seeker to extract the object as a target. The invention also includes a jamming method.

25 Aug 2016TL;DR: Estimation of closely spaced sinusoidal signals is impaired for separations well above the Fourier resolution, and the dependence on signal to noise ratio is involved.
Abstract: The estimation of sinusoidal signals is a very well researched area, and it is well known that two signals can be resolved well for frequency separation below the Fourier resolution at high enough signal to noise ratio. However, in the case of many closely spaced sinusoids estimation is impaired for separations well above the Fourier resolution, and the dependence on signal to noise ratio is involved. The problem is analyzed by considering the Hessian of the log-likelihood function. When there is some direction in the parameter space, where the curvature of its deterministic part (i.e. the Fisher information matrix) is less than the curvature of its stochastic part, this is an indication of problems for correct estimation. An expression for the probability of this to occur is presented.

15 Oct 2012TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a display method, a computer program for performing the steps of the display method and a display system, the display system having for example: at least one display unit (13, 16 ) arranged to present at least 1 display image, at least memory unit (12, 15 ) comprising information related to for example descriptions of a set of default graphics display objects (W 1 -W 3 ) and configuration data.
Abstract: The invention pertains to display method, a computer program for performing the steps of the display method and a display system ( 1 ), the display system having for example: at least one display unit ( 13, 16 ) arranged to present at least one display image, at least one memory unit ( 12, 15 ) comprising information related to for example descriptions of a set of default graphics display objects (W 1 -W 3 ) and configuration data. The configuration data is arranged to define: at least one transparent display layer (L 1 -L 3 ), at least one transparent display container (CO 0 -CO 2 ) associated to the at least one transparent display layer and at least one display mode. Each of said at least one display mode comprising a predetermined selection of one or more of said at least one transparent display container of one or more of said at least one display layer.
