22 Sep 2004TL;DR: In this article, an automatically-loaded barrelled weapon's automatic loading system is used to reduce the interference in the servo that arises when the automatic loading systems is set in motion or causes movements in movable parts.
Abstract: In an automatically-loaded barrelled weapon (27), information from the barrelled weapon's automatic loading system is used to reduce the interference in the weapon servo that arises when the automatic loading system is set in motion or causes movements in movable parts. The arrangement can comprise or work with a unit (22) that obtains parameter information from, for example, the automatic loading system, which parameter information is representative of a force (F) interfering with the aiming of the weapon and caused by the automatic loading system on the barrelled weapon. The unit is arranged to produce a command (i6) to the servo motor (4), by means of the parameter information, that essentially or completely eliminates the said force. In this way, turning moment interference on the weapon that is caused by the activation of the automatic loading system is counteracted and the accuracy of the barrelled weapon when firing can be improved.

01 Dec 2009TL;DR: In this article, a method for focusing signals measured by a scanning radar system comprising at least one antenna was proposed. But the radar system is adapted to transmit radar signals forming at least 1 antenna beam and to detect reflections of said at least single antenna beam caused by an object at a point of reflection.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for focusing signals measured by a scanning radar system (6; 17) comprising at least one antenna (7; 19). The radar system is adapted to transmit radar signals forming at least one antenna beam (9, 1 1; 20) and to detect reflections of said at least one antenna beam caused by an object (15; 22) at a point of reflection. The method comprises the step of calculating an updated radar signal (S U 1 ; S U 2 ; S U 3 ) based on at least one measured radar signal (S P 1 , S P 2 ; S P ) and an antenna pointing error signal (e 1 ; e 2) which is also calculated based on the at least one measured radar signal. Then a signal adapted filter (h 1; h 2; h 3) is calculated based on any or both of the characteristics of the at least one antenna and at least one measured reference radar signal, and, finally, a focused radar signal (S F 1 , S F 2 ; S F 3) is calculated by filtering the updated radar signal using the signal adapted filter.

17 Dec 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a method and an arrangement for restoring strength and wear resistant of a metallic matrix ceramic comprising a metallic binder and ceramic filler (3 ) particles, which has been exposed for long term high temperature and pressure cycling, for example in a gas exhaust nozzle, whereby micro cracks developed in the outer layer (5 ) of the MMC part.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement for restoring strength and wear resistant of a metallic matrix ceramic ( 1 ) comprising a metallic binder ( 2 ) and ceramic filler ( 3 ) particles, which metallic matrix ceramic ( 1 ) has been exposed for long term high temperature and pressure cycling, for example in a gas exhaust nozzle ( 6 ), whereby micro cracks ( 4 ) are developed in the outer layer ( 5 ) of the metallic binder ( 2 ) According to the invention this is achieved by virtue of the fact that the outer layer ( 5 ) of the metallic binder ( 2 ), partly or fully, is removed from the MMC part ( 1 ) by a chemical operation, where after the outer layer ( 5 ) is compressed by a compression operation for achieving a dense outer layer ( 5 ), in which filler ( 3 ) particles are close to each other.
