TL;DR: In this paper, a fire simulation method and system for simulating ammunition from a weapon is presented, which includes determining a trajectory of the simulated ammunition, emitting a light beam along a simulation axis, and coding said light beam with information.
Abstract: A fire simulation method and system for simulating ammunition from a weapon. The method includes determining a trajectory of the simulated ammunition, emitting a light beam along a simulation axis, and coding said light beam with information. The method includes determining a point in time when the simulated ammunition passes a target, determining a value related to the distance between the simulation axis and a momentary position of the simulated ammunition along the trajectory at that point in time, and emitting the light beam coded with the determined value during a predetermined time period.

TL;DR: This paper presents an approach to test case generation based on the use of an ontology and inference rules, which showed that it was possible to generate test cases with the same level of detail as the existing, manually produced, test cases.
Abstract: Testing of a software system is resource-consuming activity. One of the promising ways to improve the efficiency of the software testing process is to use ontologies for testing. This paper presents an approach to test case generation based on the use of an ontology and inference rules. The ontology represents requirements from a software requirements specification, and additional knowledge about components of the software system under development. The inference rules describe strategies for deriving test cases from the ontology. The inference rules are constructed based on the examination of the existing test documentation and acquisition of knowledge from experienced software testers. The inference rules are implemented in Prolog and applied to the ontology that is translated from OWL functional-style syntax to Prolog syntax. The first experiments with the implementation showed that it was possible to generate test cases with the same level of detail as the existing, manually produced, test cases.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a system consisting of a fire simulation system and at least one hit simulation system, which consists of means (2) for transmitting electromagnetic waves to simulate real ammunition from a weapon and means (21) for including information in the electromagnetic waves.
Abstract: This invention concerns a weapon effect simulation system comprising a fire simulation system and at least one hit simulation system. The fire simulation system comprises both means (2) for transmitting electromagnetic waves to simulate real ammunition from a weapon and means (21) for including information in the electromagnetic waves. The hit simulation system contains both means for receiving the transmitted electromagnetic waves and means (33) for determining, based on received electromagnetic waves, whether a target has been hit. The weapon effect simulation system is characterized in that the fire simulation system further comprises means (17) for calculating the imagined trajectory of the simulated ammunition and means (20) for determining the geographical position of the weapon, and in that the means (21) for including information in the electromagnetic waves are arranged so as to include information related to coordinates in the three-dimensional space for the calculated ammunition trajectory.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for discharging countermeasure means, a rocket launcher (1), and a dispenser arrangement (10), is described. But this method is not suitable for the use of aircraft.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for discharging countermeasure means, a rocket launcher (1), and a dispenser arrangement (10). According to the invention, the space (9) for one or more rockets in a rocket launcher (1) is used as a carrier for a dispenser arrangement (10) for countermeasure means. The dispenser arrangement is designed with one or more cylindrical sections (11, 12.2, 12.5) specially adapated to the rocket space in the rocket launcher. By virtue of the invention, equipment already adapted to aircraft can be made use of in supplementing the countermeasure equipment of the aircraft.

TL;DR: In this article, a safe termination operation volume is proposed to estimate the lowest allowable flight altitude of a vehicle to a termination point of an area of interest, wherein non allowable fly zones are taken into consideration by adding flight altitude to come around the non allowable flight zones when calculating the lowest flight altitude.
Abstract: A method of forming a safe termination operation volume, and an aircraft provided with a system using such a volume to plan a flight route and/or an emergency route The volume indicates the lowest allowable flight altitude to achieve a glide path of a vehicle to a termination point of an area of interest, wherein non allowable fly zones are taken into consideration by adding flight altitude to come around the non allowable fly zones when calculating the lowest allowable flight altitude
