16 Sep 2011TL;DR: In this article, a multi-mode fuze system was proposed to discriminate the hardness of the target based upon the electrical output of a target sensor and select one of at least three modes of operation of the warhead.
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-mode fuze system 1 for use in a warhead for combating a target, said multi-mode fuze system 1 comprise at least one target sensor 2 electrically connected to a signal processing block 4 and an I/O-block 5, where said I/O-block 5 is possible to set by the operator of the warhead, where said target sensor 2 is adapted to generate an electrical output in response to the rate of deceleration of the warhead and where said multi-mode fuze system 1 is adapted to discriminate the hardness of the target based upon the electrical output of said target sensor 2 and to select the mode of operation depending upon the said target discrimination, where the multi-mode fuze system 1 is adapted to discriminate at least one type of target depending upon said target sensors 2 electrical output and that the multi-mode fuze system 1 selects one of at least three modes of operation of the warhead. The invention also relates to a method for classifying the target hardness and selection of the operational mode of a warhead.

29 Sep 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a positioning system for aerial refueling of an aircraft provided with a first element for connection with a second element arranged on a tanker plane is described, where the first and second elements are adapted to feed fuel from the tanker plane to the aircraft.
Abstract: A positioning system for aerial refueling of an aircraft provided with a first element for connection with a second element arranged on a tanker plane. The first and second elements are adapted to feed fuel from the tanker plane to the aircraft. A receiver on the aircraft is arranged to receive signals from the second element. A control unit on the aircraft controls the aircraft depending on the signals to steer the aircraft to a position for connecting the first and second elements.

12 Jan 2001TL;DR: In this article, a method and an arrangement for detecting objects in a track area (7) of a railway system is presented, in which a train track area associated with an underground station is monitored by means of a radar sensor mounted in a fixed manner relative to the track area.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement (7) for detecting objects in a track area (2) of a railway system. According to the invention, a track area associated with an underground station is monitored by means of radar sensor mounted in a fixed manner relative to the track area. The surveillance area of the radar sensor is limited at least along parts of the track area by excluding combinations of distance and angle which are not to be included in the surveillance area, and information supplied by the radar sensor is processed for detecting new stationary objects and/or moving objects. The surveillance area is adapted to the tunnel walls of the underground station.

05 Jun 2008TL;DR: A gate driver circuit as discussed by the authors is designed to supply a DC/DC converter with a switching voltage, where the transistors are in the form of transistors being suitable for being manufactured in an MMIC process or an RFIC process.
Abstract: A gate driver circuit arranged to supply a DC/DC converter with a switching voltage. Both the gate driver circuit and the DC/DC converter include at least one transistor and at least one further component. The DC/DC converter is arranged to convert an input voltage to an output voltage and to supply to a load. A power converter includes the gate driver circuit and the DC/DC converter. The gate driver circuit can be designed such that the transistors are in the form of transistors being suitable for being manufactured in an MMIC-process or an RFIC-process.

07 Oct 2005TL;DR: In this article, an arrangement suitable for increasing data association accuracy, comprising means for generating a first data entity comprising a first information set and a second information set about at least one object, was presented.
Abstract: Present invention relates to an arrangement, suitable for increasing data association accuracy, comprising means for generating a first data entity comprising a first information set and a second information set about at least one object; and means for generating a second data entity comprising a first information set and second information set about at least one object. The invention is characterized by means for generating at least one distance matrix depending upon the first information sets or the second information sets; means for gating said at least one generated distance matrix, and means for performing an association process depending upon the gated distance matrix.
