TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical study is performed to determine the delamination initiation and propagation in notched composite laminates under flexural loading using finite element analysis and four-point bending tests.
Abstract: The objective for this numerical study is to determine the delamination initiation and propagation in notched composite laminates under flexural loading. The commercial finite element package ABAQUS is used to carry out the investigation utilizing cohesive elements. This study addresses delamination as the only damage mechanism. The results from finite element analysis are compared to experimental results of four-point bending tests performed on notched laminates for validation.

TL;DR: A bottom part of the guide (2) slot has a guide edge (8) which, in the direction away from the user, forms a second angle (b) with the guide edge.
Abstract: A bottom part (7) of the guide (2) slot (5) has a guide edge (8) which, in the direction away from the user, forms a second angle (b) with a guide edge (7) and also between the second guide edge and belt reel (3). This edge is used to guide the belt (1) in the bottom position in conjunction with the second edge of the slot. The edge guides the belt as it coils round its reel and the angle (b) is be smaller than the angle (a) formed between first (6',6") and second guide edges. The third and first (6',6") edges form a third angle (c) and the third edge (8) continues the first edge. Third edge (8) can adjust from its inactive setting into its action setting.

TL;DR: In this paper, a perturbation method was used to measure the quotient between the radius of a circular duct and the curvature of the duct, and the solution included terms of the first and second order of this parameter.
Abstract: The three-dimensional problem of compressible potential flow in a bend of a circular duct is studied by means of a perturbation method. As perturbation parameter is used the quotient between the radius of the duct and the radius of curvature of the duct, and the solution includes terms of the first and second order of this parameter. Numerical calculations have been performed for the values 0.2 and 0.1 of the perturbation parameter, and the plotted result shows how the axial velocity distribution changes from the straight to the curved region of the duct.
