TL;DR: In this paper, the degradation of conductive textile transmission line (CTTL) when subjected to washing was studied and an electrical equivalent circuit and a three-dimensional transmission line matrix (TLM) model of the transmission line were developed.
Abstract: Purpose – The paper seeks, by means of measurement and modelling, to evaluate frequency dependent per‐unit‐length parameters of conductive textile transmission line (CTTL) for wearable applications and to study deterioration of these parameters when CTTL is subjected to washing.Design/methodology/approach – The studied transmission line is made of Nickel/Copper (Ni/Cu) plated polyester ripstop fabric and is subjected to standard 60°C cycle in a commercial off‐the‐shelf washing machine. The per‐unit‐length parameters (resistance and inductance) and characteristic impedance of the line are extracted from measurements before and after washing. Using the measurement data an equivalent circuit is created to model the degradation of the line. The circuit is then integrated in a three‐dimensional transmission line matrix (TLM) model of the transmission line.Findings – Both an electrical equivalent circuit and a TLM model are developed describing the degradation of the conductive textile when washed. A severe det...

TL;DR: In this article, a distribution system for vehicles with a distributor for distributing ventilation air to different bus nozzles located in the vehicle cabin is presented, where rotation of the fan is used to regulate the air flow to the various outlet ducts.
Abstract: L'invention se rapporte a systeme de ventilation (1) pour vehicules equipes d'un distributeur (4) servant a distribuer l'air de ventilation vers differentes buses de ventilation (5-10) situees dans l'habitacle du vehicule. The invention relates to the ventilation system (1) for vehicles with a distributor (4) for distributing ventilation air to different ventilation nozzles (5-10) located in the vehicle cabin. The distributor (4) comprises a cylindrical fan (12) rotatably journalled in a housing (11) and having a housing surface (36) and end walls (37) in which are formed openings (13a, 13b, 14) cooperate with outlet conduits (25-30) which are arranged in the circumferential surface and the housing walls. Ainsi, la rotation du ventilateur permet de reguler le flux d'air vers les differents conduits de sortie. Thus, rotation of the fan is used to regulate the air flow to the various outlet ducts. Since the housing and the fan each have at least one opening which extends to both the end wall and the circumferential surface, an outlet duct may be formed with a small size in the circumferential direction, thus allowing extremely low pressure drops, so it is possible to provide a plurality of outlet ducts configurations in one compact machine.

TL;DR: In this article, a radar level measuring device for noncontact measurement of a level of a product in a container is presented, which consists of a flange which is mounted on the container in such a way that a lead-through of the flange at least partly covers an opening in the container.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a radar level measuring device for non-contact measurement of a level of a product in a container. The device comprises a flange which is mounted on the container in such a way that a lead-through of the flange at least partly covers an opening in the container. The device further comprises a waveguide part, insertable into the flange. When inserted, the insertable waveguide part is arranged to come to a stop at a distance (D) from the surface of the flange intended to face the container, along which distance (D), a waveguide is formed, forming a continuous waveguide together with the insertable waveguide part when inserted.

TL;DR: This study uses interferometric synthetic aperture radar to map fast-ice deformation with unprecedented spatial resolution and sensitivity and it is observed that the coherence images provide information that is complementary to the information in the backscatter images.
Abstract: Detailed mapping of fast-ice deformation can be used to characterize the rheological behavior of fast ice and subsequently improve sea ice modeling. This study uses interferometric synthetic aperture radar to map fast-ice deformation with unprecedented spatial resolution (meter range) and sensitivity (cm-mm range). Two interferometric acquisitions, each with a temporal baseline of 24 h, were performed by the X-band SAR satellite constellation Cosmo-SkyMed over the northeast Bay of Bothnia in the middle of the 2012 ice season. The first interferogram shows deformation of the fast ice due to force from impinging drift ice, and the normal strain within the fast ice is measured. Complementary intensity correlation measurements reveal a slow movement of the drift ice toward the fast ice. The second interferogram exhibits a low fringe rate over the fast ice with fringes being aligned along the coastline. Deformation appears to be stronger around leads, skerries, and grounded ice ridges. It is also observed that the coherence images provide information that is complementary to the information in the backscatter images.

TL;DR: In this paper, a memory structure for storing memory vectors in at least one storage location is presented, where each memory vector is arranged to be undividedly stored in sequential order with a beginning of a vector at the memory input.
Abstract: A memory structure for storing memory vectors in at least one storage location. A plurality of storage locations store memory vectors. After configuration each storage location has a length adapted to a length of a memory vector stored therein. The storage locations are arranged parallel to each other and extend from a memory input deeper into the memory such that each memory vector is arranged to be undividedly stored in sequential order with a beginning of a vector at the memory input. Storage place addressing is made to the memory input. Input buffers are arranged to input the memory vectors in unbroken sequence according to the addressing. The vectors are inputted in a buffer-by-buffer manner. Output buffers are arranged to output the memory vectors in unbroken sequence according to the addressing in a buffer-by-buffer manner.
