TL;DR: In this paper, the synchronizing system is equipped with three synchronizer rings with hooks or claws for joining themselves to the synchronizer hub (24), the cog wheel (12), and the inner ring (14,16,18).
Abstract: The synchronizing system (2) is equipped with three synchronizer rings (10), the outer (18) accommodating the center ring (16), the center ring (16) holding the inner ring (14). All rings (14,16,18) have hooks or claws (34,38,44) for joining themselves to the synchronizer hub (24), the cog wheel (12) respectively.

TL;DR: The practice of Model based systems engineering with SysML within SAAB Aeronautics is presented and three different cases of different ambition and complexity are presented along with an analysis of the results.
Abstract: Model Based Systems Engineering has been presented as the future way of working for quite some time now. In this paper the practice of Model based systems engineering with SysML within SAAB Aeronautics is presented. Three different cases of different ambition and complexity are presented along with an analysis of the results. A number of modification proposals to SysML based on the experience made are also presented.

TL;DR: In this article, an ignition electrode arrangement at a cylinder in an internal combustion engine, for example an Otto-engine, is described, where a first electrode and a second electrode co-operate with each other, the first electrode (7) being arranged on an ignition means secured to a cylinder head.
Abstract: In an ignition electrode arrangement at a cylinder in an internal combustion engine, for example an Otto-engine, a first electrode (7) and a second electrode (8) co-operate with each other, the first electrode (7) being arranged on an ignition means (6) secured to a cylinder head. Both electrodes (7, 8) are movable in order to enable a change in the size of the spark gap and/or the position of the spark gap. The electrodes are each manipulated by means of an operating device (10, 14) that is controlled by a control unit (13) included in the ignition system of the engine.

TL;DR: In this paper, a hybrid method for solution of Maxwell's equations of electromagnetics in the frequency domain is developed as a combination between the method of moments and the approximation in physical optics.
Abstract: A hybrid method for solution of Maxwell's equations of electromagnetics in the frequency domain is developed as a combination between the method of moments and the approximation in physical optics. The equations are discretized by a Galerkin method and solved by an iterative block Gauss–Seidel method. The convergence of the iterations is studied theoretically and in numerical experiments. The accuracy of the hybrid method is compared to the method of moments for a cylinder with an incident field for different wavenumbers. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
