TL;DR: In this paper, a user interface method and apparatus for a mobile terminal having a touchscreen is presented, which improves interactivity using a toolbar menu mode screen which allows a user to execute functions and commands with drag and drop behaviors on the touchscreen to graphical objects such as toolbar, icons and other active objects.
Abstract: A user interface method and apparatus for a mobile terminal having a touchscreen are provided. The apparatus and method improve interactivity using a toolbar menu mode screen which allows a user to execute functions and commands with drag and drop behaviors on the touchscreen to graphical objects such as toolbar, icons, and other active objects. An interface apparatus includes a touchscreen unit that displays a screen including a second region for presenting a toolbar having at least one User Interface (UI) element representing a specific function and a first region for activating, when the UI element is dragged from the toolbar and dropped in the first region on the touchscreen, the function represented by the UI element. The interface apparatus also includes a control unit which detects a drag and drop action of the UI element and activates, when the drag and drop action is detected, the function associated with the UI element in the form of an active function object. The interface apparatus of the present invention registers the frequently used functions with the toolbar in the form of icons such that, when an icon is dragged from the toolbar to the main window, the function represented by the icon is activated.

TL;DR: The ICS cybersecurity landscape is explored including the key principles and unique aspects of ICS operation, a brief history of cyberattacks on ICS, an overview of I CS security assessment, and a survey of “uniquely-ICS” testbeds that capture the interactions between the various layers of an ICS.
Abstract: Industrial control systems (ICSs) are transitioning from legacy-electromechanical-based systems to modern information and communication technology (ICT)-based systems creating a close coupling between cyber and physical components. In this paper, we explore the ICS cybersecurity landscape including: 1) the key principles and unique aspects of ICS operation; 2) a brief history of cyberattacks on ICS; 3) an overview of ICS security assessment; 4) a survey of “uniquely-ICS” testbeds that capture the interactions between the various layers of an ICS; and 5) current trends in ICS attacks and defenses.

TL;DR: It is shown under specific system conditions that the proposed method can be applied to MIMO-OFDM systems without CPs, regardless of the presence of VCs, and obtains an accurate channel estimate with a small number of OFDM symbols, which improves the transmission bandwidth efficiency.
Abstract: By combining multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication with the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation scheme, MIMO-OFDM systems can achieve high data rates over broadband wireless channels. In this paper, to provide a bandwidth-efficient solution for MIMO-OFDM channel estimation, we establish conditions for channel identifiability and present a blind channel estimation technique based on a subspace approach. The proposed method unifies and generalizes the existing subspace-based methods for blind channel estimation in single-input single-output OFDM systems to blind channel estimation for two different MIMO-OFDM systems distinguished according to the number of transmit and receive antennas. In particular, the proposed method obtains accurate channel estimation and fast convergence with insensitivity to overestimates of the true channel order. If virtual carriers (VCs) are available, the proposed method can work with no or insufficient cyclic prefix (CP), thereby potentially increasing channel utilization. Furthermore, it is shown under specific system conditions that the proposed method can be applied to MIMO-OFDM systems without CPs, regardless of the presence of VCs, and obtains an accurate channel estimate with a small number of OFDM symbols. Thus, this method improves the transmission bandwidth efficiency. Simulation results illustrate the mean-square error performance of the proposed method via numerical experiments

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface growth of a low-dimensional perovskite layer on top of a 3D perovsite film was controlled by a structured perov-skite interface.
Abstract: Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are promising alternatives toward clean energy because of their high-power conversion efficiency (PCE) and low materials and processing cost However, their poor stability under operation still limits their practical applications Here we design an innovative approach to control the surface growth of a low dimensional perovskite layer on top of a bulk three-dimensional (3D) perovskite film This results in a structured perovskite interface where a distinct layered low dimensional perovskite is engineered on top of the 3D film Structural and optical properties of the stack are investigated and solar cells are realized When embodying the low dimensional perovskite layer, the photovoltaic cells exhibit an enhanced PCE of 201% on average, when compared to pristine 3D perovskite In addition, superior stability is observed: the devices retain 85% of the initial PCE stressed under one sun illumination for 800 hours at 50 °C in an ambient environment
