Abstract: This paper presents the basic principles of the evaporative cooling process for human thermal comfort, the principles of operation for the direct evaporative cooling system and the mathematical development of the equations of thermal exchanges, allowing the determination of the effectiveness of saturation. It also presents the results of experimental tests in a direct evaporative cooler that take place in the Air Conditioning Laboratory at the University of Taubate Mechanical Engineering Department, and the experimental results are used to determinate the convective heat transfer co-efficient and to compare with the mathematical model.

Abstract: Neurofibromin is a cytoplasmic protein that is predominantly expressed in neurons, Schwann cells, oligodendrocytes, astrocytes and leukocytes. It is encoded by the gene NF1, located on chromosome 17, at q11.2, and has different biochemical functions, including association to microtubules and participation in several signaling pathways. Alterations in this protein are responsible for a phacomatosis named neurofibromatosis type 1.

Abstract: Sulfur management is an important issue in crop plant nutrition Sulfur has a role in fundamental processes such as electron transport, structure and regulation It is also associated with photosynthetic oxygen production, abiotic and biotic stress resistance and secondary metabolism Sulfate uptake, reductive assimilation and integration into cysteine and methionine are the central processes that direct oxidized and reduced forms of organically bound S into their various functions Sulfur-containing defense compounds that are crucial for plant survival during biotic and abiotic stress include elemental sulfur, hydrogen sulfide, glutathione, phytochelatins, S-rich proteins and various secondary metabolites Formation of these compounds in plants is closely related to the supply, demand, uptake and assimilation of S This review will highlight the role of S during the stress response in plants and the relationship between S metabolism and primary S nutrition

Abstract: A measurement of the inelastic proton-proton cross section with the CMS detector at a center-of-mass energy of $ \sqrt{s}=13 $ TeV is presented. The analysis is based on events with energy deposits in the forward calorimeters, which cover pseudorapidities of −6.6 4.1 GeV and/or M$_{Y}$ > 13 GeV, where M$_{X}$ and M$_{Y}$ are the masses of the diffractive dissociation systems at negative and positive pseudorapidities, respectively. The results are compared with those from other experiments as well as to predictions from high-energy hadron-hadron interaction models.
