01 Oct 2017TL;DR: A system, which is intended to control electrical appliances and devices in house with relatively low cost, user-friendly interface and also informs the user about any intruder detection is developed.
Abstract: It requires to use new advanced technology in wireless networking environment for achieving automation in daily used appliances. The present work develops a system, which is intended to control electrical appliances and devices in house with relatively low cost, user-friendly interface and also informs the user about any intruder detection. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how simple algorithms can produce useful behavior of appliances reducing human efforts. The smart home concept in the system improves the standard living at home. The main control system implements wireless technology to provide remote access from smart phone. In addition, IR sensors are used for detecting the presence of a person inside the room to control the lighting.

28 Nov 2006TL;DR: This paper proposes the way of providing uniqueness in scalable object identity, object categorization and standard format for the data being exchanged by various ubicomp compliant objects.
Abstract: Ubiquitous computing technology provides an environment where users expect to access resources and services anytime and anywhere. Everyday objects communicate with each other and also with the Internet objects available today. People have an increasing desire for such ubiquitous access to information, anywhere, anyplace, and anytime. As ubicomp occurs everywhere, there may be a very large number of users/objects interacting with each other simultaneously in future. This necessitates the question of how to uniquely provide identity to infinitely growing objects and standard towards the uniformity of the data being exchanged by the various objects. The serious security risks and problems arise because resources can now be accessed by almost anyone with a mobile device in such an open model. In this paper, author proposes the way of providing uniqueness in scalable object identity, object categorization and standard in data being exchanged by various ubicomp compliant objects and explore the security issue in ubiquitous computing with a focus on authentication.

01 Dec 2015TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed the use of the rich spectral data of hyperspectral images to resolve classification issues in remote sensing applications, where the spectral properties of the images are used to improve the image quality.
Abstract: Hyperspectral imaging is the procedure to gather and handle information across the electromagnetic spectrum. The fundamental objective of hyperspectral imaging is to achieve the spectrum for every pixel in the picture. The spectrum helps in computer vision, i.e., locating items, material detection or process discovery. This approach is constantly developing in the field of remote sensing applications. The wide spectrum range, offers a high spectral resolution, thus permitting the detection and understanding of the exterior and material components of the viewed image. Numerous elements, for example, defective imaging optics, climatic disturbances, optical brightening impacts and sensor noise cause the corruption of the procured image quality, making spatial determination amongst the costliest and hardest to improve in imaging frameworks. Blended pixels, i.e., pixels containing a blend of diverse materials, are normal in hyperspectral pictures due to such a requirement. In this work, we propose the use of the rich spectral data of hyperspectral images to resolve classification issues.

01 Dec 2010TL;DR: This paper is presenting a model to define and represent Context in the user perspective for Interactive Context aware TV, applicable to both single and multiuser environments.
Abstract: With the advent of ubiquitous computing environments it has become increasingly important for applications to take full advantage of Context aware computing to increase the satisfaction of the users in entertainment services. The contextual information, such as, environmental, social, task, Spatio-temporal and personal information has to be considered to offer greater services to the user without any explicit requests and to resolve conflict among multiple users. Also with the increasing amount of research on Interactive Context Aware TVs, users are interacting with them in an evermore convenient way. An efficient model for representing and capturing context for Interactive Context Aware TV is required. In this paper, we are presenting a model to define and represent Context in the user perspective for Interactive Context aware TV. The proposed Model is applicable to both single and multiuser environments.
