TL;DR: In this article, the authors pointed out that the exponential growth in technical education has not translated into any significant growth in the number of quality graduates acceptable to industry, due to insufficient availability of qualified faculty, teaching methodology, evaluation techniques and processes.
Abstract: Engineering education has become a main attraction, contributing to the global industry revolution and in particular to Indian economy. The exponential growth in technical education has, however, not translated into any significant growth in the number of quality graduates acceptable to industry, due to insufficient availability of qualified faculty, teaching methodology, evaluation techniques and processes. Increasing autonomous institutions projecting their institution is another mask to underlying quality of education and evaluation procedures, which is supposed to be measured on the common scale and platform. The heterogeneity in curriculum, varied infrastructure and quality of faculty in-terms of competency and ability to make difference in learning process towards making students ready for industry and higher education and research, is posing yet another problem for the accreditation bodies. Today accreditation bodies lack in-terms of: equity in evaluation rigor, quick response, flexibility and ease of operation and access, prevention of academic fraud and participation of universities.

TL;DR: The proposed methodology forversible quantum multiplier shows the improvement in terms of Quantum Cost, Garbage Outputs and gates count compared to all the existing reversible quantum multiplier designs.
Abstract: Reversible logic plays a vital role in Quantum computing and Nanotechnology which in future can be applied for low power processor applications. In this paper, we propose, ultra area efficient reversible quantum multiplier based on Radix-2 Booth's recoding algorithm. The Non-Fault tolerant Radix-2 Booth's recoding architecture is designed and optimized for Quantum Cost and Garbage Outputs. The proposed methodology for reversible quantum multiplier shows the improvement in terms of Quantum Cost, Garbage Outputs and gates count compared to all the existing reversible quantum multiplier designs.

TL;DR: This work introduces an overlapping based energy aware approach for selecting the node which will be transmitting the image to the base station, which helps in efficient processing and to increase the life time of visual sensor networks.
Abstract: In multitier visual sensor networks, the constraints faced during node communication is horizontal collaboration and limited life time of visual sensor networks. During horizontal communication between the visual sensor nodes, there is a need for selecting the number of neighboring nodes in the region having more or less common field of view to reduce the redundant information transmitted to the base station. This work introduces an overlapping based energy aware approach for selecting the node which will be transmitting the image to the base station. This novel approach helps in efficient processing and to increase the life time of visual sensor networks. Analysis carried out with the proposed approach shows that the network lifetime increases by 70%.

TL;DR: This paper is focused on design and development of a LCR meter using simple techniques that leads a low cost device at the beginner level.
Abstract: Measurement of electrical parameters such as Inductance (L), Capacitance (C) and Resistance (R)plays an integral role in the real world implementation of the circuits. This paper is focused on design and development of a LCR meter using simple techniques that leads a low cost device at the beginner level. The techniques are implemented on TINA software along with the hardware implementations using Arduino UNO. Results obtained from developed device are confirmed with commercial LCR meter.

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental study has been performed by inserting twisted tapes with and without triangular baffles attached on twisted tapes of twist ratio of 3.8, 3 and 2.6 (p itch of 95 mm, 75 mm and 65 mm).
Abstract: There are many engineering application that involve heat transfer process, such as solar power collector, thermal power plant, drying agriculture products and many more. All these applications need effective heat transfer. This requires a need of more effective heat transfer with the minimum frictional loss. In view of this an experimental set-up has been built up and experimental investigation has been performed to study the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of air flow through circular pipe. Obtained experimental results through smooth tube are validated with Blasius correlation and Petukhov correlation for friction losses and Dittus-Boelter's correlation, Petukhov's correlation and Gnielinski's correlation for Nusselt number. Further, to study the pressure drop and heat transfer characteristics an experimental study has been performed by inserting twisted tapes with and without triangular baffles attached on twisted tapes of twist ratio of 3.8, 3 and 2.6(p itch of 95 mm, 75 mm and 65 mm) and also for Reynolds number ranging from 2600 to 8880. The enhancement heat transfer characteristics were observed with increase in Reynolds number and also with decrease in twist ratio. Friction factor decreases with increase in Reynolds number and also increases with decrease in twist ratio. Further significant enhancement of heat transfer characteristics were observed in twisted tape with triangular baffles compared to twisted tape without baffles.
