TL;DR: In this paper, the seismic behaviors of the RC multistorey buildings with and without floating columns are considered and the analysis is carried out for the multi-storey buildings, using ETABS Software.
Abstract: In the present scenario, the buildings with floating columns are the typical features in the multi-storey construction. As the load path in the floating columns is not continuous, they are more vulnerable to the seismic activity. Sometimes, to meet the requirements these types of aspects cannot be avoided though these are not found to be of safe. Hence, an attempt is taken to study the behavior of the building during the seismic activity. In this study, the seismic behaviours of the RC multistorey buildings with and without floating column are considered. The analysis is carried out for the multi-storey buildings, Using ETABS Software.

TL;DR: The convolutional and turbo codes being the most commonly used error control algorithms in wireless communication systems, the performances of the hard-decision Viterbi algorithm, soft output ViterBi algorithm, as well as MAP turbo decoders have been analysed for the random input bit stream in the AWGN channel with a code rate of 1/3 and 1/4.
Abstract: The successful accomplishment in any modern communication system lies in the reliable transmission of information from the transmitter to a receiver. Channel coding techniques provide a favourable platform to recover from errors at the receiver side. In this paper, the convolutional and turbo codes being the most commonly used error control algorithms in wireless communication systems, the performances of the hard-decision Viterbi algorithm, soft output Viterbi algorithm, as well as MAP turbo decoders have been analysed for the random input bit stream in the AWGN channel with a code rate of 1/3 and 1/4. The BER performance study is begun by varying the constraint lengths as well as generator polynomials for all the algorithms.

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of lamina stacking arrangement on process-induced stresses and their effects on the fracture toughness of laminated composites are studied, and it is found that residual stresses do not have much influence on the GI for delamination initiation.
Abstract: The energy release rate for delamination in a laminated composite is supposed to be the material property being considered as independent of non-material property variables. However, Mode I fracture toughness (GI) is found to vary with lamina arrangement, geometrical dimensions, and process-induced stresses. In this investigation, the influence of lamina stacking arrangement on process-induced stresses and their effects on GI of laminated composites are studied. Unidirectional (UD) ([0]16) and cross-ply ([902/06]s, [904/04]s, and [906/02]s) glass/ epoxy (GE) composites with the delamination plane at 0◦//0◦ were prepared by manual layup method and post-cured at 120°C for 4 hours. GI of composite laminates were experimentally determined using a double cantilever beam (DCB) specimen as per ASTM D 5528. The slitting method was applied to determine the process-induced stresses in GE laminates. The stacking sequence of laminas was found to have a noticeable effect on the state of residual stresses and GI of GE laminates. Residual stresses do not have much influence on the GI for delamination initiation, whereas GI for the crack propagation was found to increase with a gradual increase in compressive residual stresses

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of PbS Quantum Dots (QDs) with oleic acid as surfactant molecules by non-coordinating solvent route is reported, which are highly stable, extremely small size, spherical in shape, monodisperse and strong band emission.
Abstract: Herein, we report the synthesis of PbS Quantum Dots (QDs) with oleic acid as surfactant molecules by non coordinating solvent route. The particles are having better size tunability by varying temperature and time of reaction. These quantum dots are characterized by optical absorption, photoluminescence and transmission electron microscopy. The resulting colloids are highly stable, extremely small size, spherical in shape, monodisperse and strong band emission. The estimated particles sizes are in the range of 2 to 6 nm. The present method of synthesis of PbS quantum dots can be used to fabricate low cost electronic devices.

TL;DR: In this paper, the behavioral characteristics of the microstrip patch antennas with different dielectric substrates such as Glass epoxy, FR-4 and RT-Duroid were studied.
Abstract: To Study the behavioral characteristics of the microstrip patch antennas with different dielectric substrates such as Glass epoxy, FR-4 and RT-Duroid. The paper gives the comparative study of Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna's of different dielectric substrates for design parameters like Return loss, Bandwidth, Gain, Directivity and Efficiency at 2.5GHz. Different dielectric materials have different relative permittivity and this varies the radiating capability of antennas.
