TL;DR: Investigating a series of fullerene-free organic solar cells based on six different donor:acceptor (D:A) blends with varied highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) offsets demonstrates not only the validity of high-performance OSCs operating at the near zero HOMO offsets but also the charge dynamic insights of these blends, which will help gain understanding on the further improvement of Oscs.
Abstract: Herein, we investigated a series of fullerene-free organic solar cells (OSCs) based on six different donor:acceptor (D:A) blends with varied highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) offsets from -0.05 to 0.21 eV. First, to verify the energetic compatibility of a specific D:A pair, especially for HOMO offsets, we established a simple method to estimate the hole transfer tendencies between D and A by using bilayer hole-only devices. It reveals that the asymmetrical diode effect of the bilayer hole-only devices can correlate with the FF and Jsc of the relevant OSCs. Second, to find out whether HOMO offset is the main restriction of hole transfer, we measured transient absorption spectra and examined the hole transfer behavior in the blends, revealing that the occurrence of hole transfer is independent of the HOMO offsets and ultrafast in the time scale of ≤4.6 ps for those blends with ≥0 eV HOMO offsets. In contrast, a negative HOMO offset can significantly slow down the hole transfer with a half-time of ∼400 ps. Furthermore, we compare the device parameters under varied light intensities and discover that the bimolecular recombination should be one of the main restrictions for high device performance. Surprisingly, small HOMO offsets of 0 and 0.06 eV can also enable high PCEs of 10.42% and 11.75% for blend 2 (PTQ10:HC-PCIC) and blend 3 (PBDB-TF:HC-PCIC), respectively. Overall, our work demonstrates not only the validity of high-performance OSCs operating at the near zero HOMO offsets but also the charge dynamic insights of these blends, which will help gain understanding on the further improvement of OSCs.

TL;DR: An important role for MALAT-1 is suggested in regulating metastasis of bladder cancer and the potential application of MALat-1 in bladder cancer therapy is suggested.
Abstract: Recent studies reveal that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to have important regulatory roles in cancer biology, and lncRNA MALAT-1 expression is upregulated in some tumors. However, the contributions of MALAT-1 to bladder cancer metastasis remain largely unknown. In the present study we evaluated MALAT-1 expression in bladder cancer tissues by real-time PCR, and defined its biological functions. We verified that MALAT-1 levels were upregulated in bladder cancer tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues, and MALAT-1 expression was remarkably increased in primary tumors that subsequently metastasized, when compared to those primary tumors that did not metastasize. SiRNA-mediated MALAT-1 silencing impaired in vitro bladder cancer cell migration. Downregulation of MALAT-1 resulted in a decrease of the epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT)-associated ZEB1, ZEB2 and Slug levels, and an increase of E-cadherin levels. We further demonstrated that MALAT-1 promoted EMT by activating Wnt signaling in vitro. These data suggest an important role for MALAT-1 in regulating metastasis of bladder cancer and the potential application of MALAT-1 in bladder cancer therapy.

TL;DR: This survey presents a detailed survey on wireless evolution towards 6G networks, characterized by ubiquitous 3D coverage, introduction of pervasive AI and enhanced network protocol stack, and related potential technologies that are helpful in forming sustainable and socially seamless networks.
Abstract: While 5G is being commercialized worldwide, research institutions around the world have started to look beyond 5G and 6G is expected to evolve into green networks, which deliver high Quality of Service and energy efficiency. To meet the demands of future applications, significant improvements need to be made in mobile network architecture. We envision 6G undergoing unprecedented breakthrough and integrating traditional terrestrial mobile networks with emerging space, aerial and underwater networks to provide anytime anywhere network access. This paper presents a detailed survey on wireless evolution towards 6G networks. In this survey, the prime focus is on the new architectural changes associated with 6G networks, characterized by ubiquitous 3D coverage, introduction of pervasive AI and enhanced network protocol stack. Along with this, we discuss related potential technologies that are helpful in forming sustainable and socially seamless networks, encompassing terahertz and visible light communication, new communication paradigm, blockchain and symbiotic radio. Our work aims to provide enlightening guidance for subsequent research of green 6G.

TL;DR: In this work, Mo2C-embedded nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanosheets (Mo2C@2D-NPCs) were successfully achieved with the help of a convenient interfacial strategy and outperforming the state-of-the-art metal-carbide-based electrocatalysts in alkaline media.
Abstract: Molybdenum carbide (Mo2C) based catalysts were found to be one of the most promising electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in acid media in comparison with Pt-based catalysts but were seldom investigated in alkaline media, probably due to the limited active sites, poor conductivity, and high energy barrier for water dissociation. In this work, Mo2C-embedded nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanosheets (Mo2C@2D-NPCs) were successfully achieved with the help of a convenient interfacial strategy. As a HER electrocatalyst in alkaline solution, Mo2C@2D-NPC exhibited an extremely low onset potential of ∼0 mV and a current density of 10 mA cm–2 at an overpotential of ∼45 mV, which is much lower than the values of most reported HER electrocatalysts and comparable to the noble metal catalyst Pt. In addition, the Tafel slope and the exchange current density of Mo2C@2D-NPC were 46 mV decade–1 and 1.14 × 10–3 A cm–2, respectively, outperforming the state-of-the-art metal-carbide-based electrocatalysts in ...
