19 Feb 2004TL;DR: A SiP (System-in-Package) having large-capacity passive elements incorporated therein or mounted thereon is provided in this paper, where the passive elements can be formed on the substrate which serves as an interposer or on the rewiring of the chips to be mounted.
Abstract: A SiP (System-in-Package) having large-capacity passive elements incorporated therein or mounted thereon is provided On an interposer made of a silicon substrate, metal substrate or glass substrate having via-holes formed therein, IC chips, or a plurality of chips, passive elements formed on a silicon substrate, metal substrate or glass substrate, are mounted in a face-up manner and re-wired en bloc on the chip Because all of the silicon substrate, metal substrate and glass substrate are durable against high-temperature annealing for crystallizing a high-dielectric-constant material, large-capacity passive elements can be formed on the substrate which serves as an interposer or on the re-wiring of the chips to be mounted It is also allowable that large-capacity passive elements formed on the silicon substrate, metal substrate or glass substrate is divided into chips, and that the resultant chips are mounted together with the IC chips

30 Jan 2001TL;DR: In this article, the GPS received signal received from a satellite in the global positioning system is controlled in accordance with transmission timing of transmitting the CDMA transmission signal to a base station in a predetermined communication system.
Abstract: In a GPS receiver and a portable communication apparatus according to this invention, demodulation timing of the GPS received signal received from a satellite in the global positioning system is controlled in accordance with transmission timing of transmitting the CDMA transmission signal to a base station in a predetermined communication system, so that the GPS received signal can be accurately demodulated, preventing radio waves which occur during transmission of the CDMA transmission signal from interfering with the GPS received signal. Thus, the GPS received signal can be demodulated without deterioration of reception quality.

18 Oct 1999TL;DR: In this article, a system and method for transforming input source language linguistic structures (SLS) to target linguistic language linguistic structure (TLS) is described, where the SLS is matched to at least one existing source language example linguistic structure.
Abstract: A system and method for transforming input source language linguistic structures (SLS) to target linguistic language linguistic structures (TLS) are described. In one embodiment, the SLS is matched to at least one existing source language example linguistic structure (SEF). The SLS is aligned with the at least one SEF, and the TLS is generated using at least one target language example linguistic structure (TEF) corresponding to the at least one SEF.

26 Jan 1998TL;DR: In this article, a POI (point of interest) operation for moving an object corresponding to a selected node to the center of an editing window as pre-processing for changing the viewpoint of an object displayed in 3D virtual space in a window of a display device.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a POI (point of interest) operation for moving an object corresponding to a selected node to the center of an editing window as pre-processing for changing the viewpoint of an object displayed in three-dimensional virtual space in a window of a display device. A node displayed in a pop-up menu in a first window is selected by a mouse 262. A model editing tool 420 displays an object corresponding to the selected node in a second window. After a confirmation operation by the user by the mouse 262, the model editing tool 420 preferably enlarges and moves the display of the object to the center of the second window. Next, when the user selects a “Rotate”, “Move”, “Scale”, or other operation mode in the “Conductors” window by the mouse and draws on or clicks the inside of the display screen by the mouse 262, the model editing tool 420 rotates, moves, or enlarges the image of the object in accordance with the operation mode of the mouse and the operation of the user. As a result, the object can be viewed from different viewpoints.
