TL;DR: In this paper, continuous-wave operation of InGaN green laser diodes (LDs) on semipolar {2021} GaN substrates with output powers of over 100 mW in the spectral region beyond 530 nm is demonstrated.
Abstract: Continuous-wave operation of InGaN green laser diodes (LDs) on semipolar {2021} GaN substrates with output powers of over 100 mW in the spectral region beyond 530 nm is demonstrated Wall plug efficiencies (WPEs) as high as 70–89% are realized in the wavelength range of 525–532 nm, which exceed those reported for c-plane LDs The longest lasing wavelength has reached 5366 nm under cw operation These results suggest that the InGaN green LDs on the {2021} plane are better suited as light sources for applications requiring wavelengths over 525 nm

22 May 1997TL;DR: In this paper, a data packet which contains time information is time compressed and the time information extracted from the time compressed data packet is synchronized with the extracted time information and is multiplied by a predetermined compression ratio to produce replacement time information which replaces the time in the time-compressed data packet.
Abstract: A data packet which contains time information is time compressed and the time information is extracted from the time compressed data packet. A system clock is synchronized with the extracted time information and is multiplied by a predetermined compression ratio to produce replacement time information which replaces the time information in the time compressed data packet. The time compressed data packet that now contains the replacement time information is modulated and transmitted or recorded.

16 Jul 2002TL;DR: In this paper, a portable telephone is provided with a non-contact IC card which communicates with a reader/writer of a personal computer by electromagnetic waves emitted by the reader and writer.
Abstract: The present invention relates to communication systems
and methods which allow the partner of communication to be
easily specified. A portable telephone 52 is provided with
a non-contact IC card which communicates with a
reader/writer of a personal computer 51 by electromagnetic
waves. When the non-contact IC card receives
electromagnetic waves emitted by the reader/writer, the
portable telephone 52 reports the card ID assigned to the
non-contact IC card to the personal computer 51. The card
ID includes the Bluetooth address of the portable telephone
52. When the personal computer 51 obtains the Bluetooth
addresses of the portable telephone 52 and a PDA 53 at an
inquiry, the personal computer 51 specifies the portable
telephone 52 as a Bluetooth device with which
synchronization is established, according to the Bluetooth
address reported in advance. The present invention can be
applied to information processing apparatuses such as
personal computers and portable telephones.

24 Dec 1986TL;DR: In this paper, a computerized system for managing preparation and prosecution of applications for protection of industrial property rights in various contries includes a data memory which stores a rule data for controlling input, output and internal operation of the system.
Abstract: A computerized system for managing preparation and prosecution of applications for protection of industrial property rights in various contries includes a data memory which stores a rule data for controlling input, output and internal operation of the system. The rule data includes information concerning required actions at each step of prosecution of applications in each country when the applications are filed. Such rule data is so designed as to provide proper guidance to the operator for guiding proper entry of input data in order to avoid error in operation. Preferably, the rule data consists of common rule data components which are commonly applicable for applications in any country and local rule data components which are specifically applicable for a specific country.

07 Nov 2001TL;DR: An active-matrix display device employs current-programmed-type pixel circuits and performs the writing data to each of pixels on a line-by-line basis as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: An active-matrix display device employs current-programmed-type pixel circuits and performs the writing data to each of pixels on a line-by-line basis The active-matrix display device having a matrix of current-programmed-type pixel circuits includes a data line driving circuit 15 formed of m current driving circuits (CD) 15 - 1 to 15 -m arranged corresponding to respective data lines 13 - 1 to 13 -m The data line driving circuit (CD) 15 - 1 to 15 -m holds image data (luminance data herein) in the form of voltage, and then converts the voltage of the image data into a current signal The current signal is then fed to the data lines 13 - 1 to 13 -m at a time The image information is thus written on the pixel circuits 11
