Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus may have a memory configured to store an identification information of an IC tag in association with a communication profile in a table. The information processing apparatus may also have a first communication unit configured to communicate with the IC tag using a first communication function. The information processing apparatus may also have a second communication unit configured to communicate with an external apparatus using a second communication function different from the first communication function. In addition, the information processing apparatus may have a controller, which may be configured to receive identification information from the IC tag through the first communication unit and to establish a connection with the external apparatus through the second communication unit based on the received identification information and the table stored in the memory.

Abstract: The performance of a power amplifier used in a signal transmitter, such as in a communication system (e.g., a personal communication system PCS), is optimized by coupling a controllable impedance to the output impedance of the power amplifier. The power output level of the amplifier, which is variable over a range from a minimum level to a maximum level and which is accompanied by a corresponding amplifier output impedance change, is detected, as is the operating power supplied to the amplifier. The controllable impedance that is coupled to the amplifier output is controlled as a function of the detected amplifier power output level and sensed operating power.

Abstract: The valence states and local structure of ${\mathrm{LiMn}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ have been investigated in comparison with those of ${\mathrm{ZnMn}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ and $\ensuremath{\lambda}\ensuremath{-}{\mathrm{MnO}}_{2}$ by using x-ray-absorption spectroscopy on the Mn $K$ edge, in order to study the Jahn-Teller (JT) transition in ${\mathrm{LiMn}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ at ${T}_{\mathrm{a}}=280\mathrm{K}.$ In the near-edge spectra, a systematic edge shift in accordance with the formal manganese valence was found, confirming the ${\mathrm{Mn}}^{3+}{/\mathrm{M}\mathrm{n}}^{4+}$ mixed states in ${\mathrm{LiMn}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}.$ Extended x-ray-absorption fine structure reveals a structural disorder of ${\mathrm{MnO}}_{6}$ octahedra in the cubic ${\mathrm{LiMn}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ above ${T}_{\mathrm{a}}.$ The local structure is analyzed using a structural model in which ${\mathrm{LiMn}}^{3+}{\mathrm{Mn}}^{4+}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ consists of isotropic ${\mathrm{Mn}}^{4+}{\mathrm{O}}_{6}$ octahedra and anisotropic ${\mathrm{Mn}}^{3+}{\mathrm{O}}_{6}$ octahedra distorted uniaxially by the JT effect. The magnitude of the local JT distortion, the ratio of the longer Mn-O distance to the shorter one, is found to be 1.17 at 300 K, which is as large as that of tetragonal ${\mathrm{ZnMn}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{4}$ (1.19). The local structure exhibits no change when the temperature is lowered below ${T}_{\mathrm{a}}.$ These results imply that the low-temperature phase is induced by ordering the local JT distortion.

Upon receipt of information on a source terminal sent via a server, a destination terminal performs operations based on the information. For example, the destination terminal judges whether the source terminal is a previously specified terminal, and connects or does not connect itself to the source terminal in accordance with the judgement.
