25 Feb 1991TL;DR: In this paper, an adapter pack is constructed so that it can be connected to a video camera via the site via which the battery pack is normally connected, which allows the adapter pack to be operatively "sandwiched" between the battery and the camera.
Abstract: An adapter pack is constructed so that it can be connected to a video camera via the site via which the battery pack is normally connected. The adapter pack is itself provided with a mounting site on which the battery pack can be connected. This construction allows the adapter pack to be operatively "sandwiched" between the battery pack and the camera. The adapter pack is arranged to permit the power from the battery pack to be supplied both to its own circuitry and therethrough to the camera.

06 Aug 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a face image processing apparatus selects feature points and feature for identifying a person through statistical learning, which includes input means for inputting face image detected by arbitrary face detection means, face parts detection means for detecting the positions of face parts in several locations from the input face image, face pose estimation means for estimating face pose based on the detected positions of the face parts, feature point position correcting means for correcting the position of each feature point used for identifying the person based on a result of estimation of face pose by the face estimation means, and face identifying means for identifying
Abstract: A face image processing apparatus selects feature points and feature for identifying a person through statistical learning. The apparatus includes input means for inputting a face image detected by arbitrary face detection means, face parts detection means for detecting the positions of face parts in several locations from the input face image, face pose estimation means for estimating face pose based on the detected positions of face parts, feature point position correcting means for correcting the position of each feature point used for identifying the person based on the result of estimation of face pose by the face pose estimation means, and face identifying means for identifying the person by calculating a feature of the input face image at each feature point after position correction is performed by the feature point position correcting means and checking the feature against a feature of a registered face.

02 Aug 1996TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an information carrier that represents picture information intended for being displayed on a picture screen, which picture information comprises video information of a video program as well as control information for selectively displaying the video programme.
Abstract: The disclosed system comprises an information carrier (1) on which an information signal is recorded that represents picture information intended for being displayed on a picture screen, which picture information comprises video information of a video program as well as control information for selectively displaying the video programme. The video programme is subdivided into sections (35) and, when the video programme is displayed selectively, sections are shown in a new order (34) and partly omitted or replaced. To this end the control information includes path information (36) which indicates a path of sections to be displayed in linked fashion. The path information may be recorded multiplexed with MPEG-2 video information and then contains addresses (53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59) for forward and backward jumps.

27 Jun 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a method of electrically connecting an element to wiring includes the steps of forming a conductive fixing member precursor layer at least on wiring provided on a base, and arranging an element having a connecting portion on the wiring such that the connecting portion contacts the conductive fix member preconditioned by solution-tape conductive material.
Abstract: A method of electrically connecting an element to wiring includes the steps of forming a conductive fixing member precursor layer at least on wiring provided on a base, and arranging an element having a connecting portion on the wiring such that the connecting portion contacts the conductive fixing member precursor layer, and then heating the conductive fixing member precursor layer to form a conductive fixing member latter, thereby fixing the connecting portion of the element to the wiring, with the conductive fixing member layer therebetween, wherein the conductive fixing member precursor layer is composed of a solution-tape conductive material.

15 Apr 2004TL;DR: In this article, a sleep length calculation section (410) calculates the sleep length according to the content of a PLCP header and sets it to a timer (430), and an address detection section (420) detects a destination address from the content a MAC header.
Abstract: A sleep length calculation section (410) calculates a sleep length according to the content of a PLCP header and sets it to a timer (430). An address detection section (420) detects a destination address from the content a MAC header. If the address is a frame destined to another terminal, the address detection section (420) instructs a sleep start to a power supply section (180) and causes the timer (430) to start clocking. When the sleep length has elapsed, the timer (430) instructs a sleep stop to the power supply section (180). When the content of the PLCP header or the MAC header cannot be trusted or when sleep should not be performed because of the rise time of each section, a sleep suppression judgment section (440) suppresses transfer of the power supply section (180) to the sleep state. Thus, in the radio communication system, it is possible to acquire necessary information and transfer to a low power consumption state without modifying the existing specifications.
