TL;DR: In this paper, a fifth transistor is connected between a power line and a drain terminal of a first transistor so that a power-supply voltage, namely the fixed voltage required for the compensation of the threshold voltage, is supplied by the power line via the fifth transistor and not by a signal line.
Abstract: In an active-matrix display device and a method for driving the active-matrix display device, a fifth transistor is connected between a power line and a drain terminal of a first transistor so that a power-supply voltage, namely the fixed voltage required for the compensation of the threshold voltage, is supplied by the power line via a fifth transistor and not by a signal line Thus, a sufficient length of time for the threshold voltage compensation period can be maintained, and a second transistor of each pixel can accurately be compensated for threshold voltage irregularities

TL;DR: In this article, a mixture ratio calculation block (MRC) is used to detect a mixture of the foreground object component and the background object component, and a foreground and background separation block (FSA) is applied to an image processing apparatus.
Abstract: A background image can be separated from an object image in accordance with a mixture state. A region identification block (103) identifies at a first time, an uncovered background region where a foreground object component and a background object component are mixed, identifies at a second time, a foreground region composed of only foreground object components and background region composed of only background object components, and identifies at a third time, a covered background region where the foreground object component and the background object component are mixed. A mixture ratio calculation block (104) detects a mixture ratio indicating a mixture ratio of the foreground object component and the background object component. A foreground and background separation block (105) separates the pixel data into a foreground object component and a background object component. The present invention can be applied to an image processing apparatus.

TL;DR: In this article, an apparatus operation is appropriately executed while charging efficiency of the battery is maintained, even in a state in which the remaining capacity of a battery decreases, even when the remaining battery capacity is insufficient.
Abstract: Even in a state in which the remaining capacity of a battery decreases, an apparatus operation is appropriately executed while charging efficiency of the battery is maintained. A processing unit 103 has a first operation mode in which an operation is enabled using only external power from a feeding device 120 and a second operation mode in which the operation is enabled by feeding from a battery 102 in addition to the external power from the feeding device 120 . When the remaining capacity of the battery 102 is sufficient, the processing unit 103 executes an apparatus operation in the second operation mode. However, when the remaining capacity of the battery 102 decreases, the processing unit 103 changes an operation mode to the first operation mode and executes charging of the battery 102 while continuously executing the apparatus operation.
