07 Dec 1999TL;DR: In this article, a method and apparatus for adaptive speech recognition hypothesis are provided, wherein a number of ordered recognition hypotheses are generated and presented in response to a received speech input comprising natural spoken language.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for adaptive speech recognition hypothesis are provided, wherein a number of ordered recognition hypotheses are generated and presented in response to a received speech input comprising natural spoken language. Generation of the recognition hypotheses comprises assigning (408) basic probabilities to at least one basic component of the speech input using language models and calculating (410) an overall probability of each of the recognition hypotheses using the assigned basic probabilities. The best hypothesis is selected (1802) by a user from the recognition hypotheses. Hypothesis generation is adapted (1810) in response to the selected best hypotheses, wherein the selected hypothesis is analyzed, a list comprising the basic components of the selected best hypothesis and the assigned basic probabilities is generated, credit is assigned to the basic components of the selected hypothesis by raising the assigned basic probabilities, and the basic probabilities of the language model are renormalized. An output is provided (306) comprising the best hypothesis; moreover, the input is translated in response to the selected best hypothesis, and a synthesized translated speech output is provided.

07 Dec 2006TL;DR: A piezoelectric composite device including a feeding electrode, a common electrode, and a signal detecting electrode was proposed in this article, where a predetermined voltage was supplied between the feeding electrode and the common electrode and a force detection signal based on an external force was extracted from the detecting electrode.
Abstract: A piezoelectric composite device including: a feeding electrode; a common electrode; a signal detecting electrode; a first piezoelectric element joined between the feeding electrode and the common electrode; and a second piezoelectric element joined between the common electrode and the signal detecting electrode; a predetermined voltage being supplied between the feeding electrode and the common electrode; and a force detection signal based on an external force being extracted from the detecting electrode.

05 Apr 2004TL;DR: In this paper, a device and a method is provided to enable improved control of streaming live delivery and recording processing as to a client from a server of tuner-received content.
Abstract: A device and method is provided to enable improved control of streaming live delivery and recording processing as to a client from a server of tuner-received content. This is configured such that a tuner control instance which executes streaming delivery of the tuner-received content under the control of the tuner, and a storage unit control instance which executes recording of the tuner-received content under the control of the content storage unit such as a hard disk, are independently set, and to each a channel list URL and video capsule URL are set as the content URL capable of specifying the processing control object, and requests can be received from the client individually by setting a control instance ID which is a control instance (AVT instance) identifier. By this configuration, independent processing according to the client request is enabled.

24 Jan 1992TL;DR: In this paper, a disc reproducing apparatus for reproducing a disc on which at least audio data such as sound, music or the like are recorded, and images such as pictures, characters or characters are recorded.
Abstract: A disc reproducing apparatus for reproducing a disc on which at least audio data such as sound, music or the like and image data such as pictures, characters or the like are recorded is comprised of a reproducing device for reproducing audio data recorded on the disc, a memory for writing therein image data recorded on the disc, a video signal generating circuit for generating a video signal on the basis of image data stored in the memory, a display supplied with the video signal and displaying thereon the image data, and an image processor for writing the image data on the memory when the audio data is reproduced and selecting the image data written so that selected image data is sequentially displayed on the display.

02 Jul 2001TL;DR: In this article, an optical multilayer structure has a substrate, a light absorbing first layer in contact with the substrate and a gap portion having a changeable size capable of causing an optical interference phenomenon, and a second layer.
Abstract: An optical multilayer structure has a substrate, a light-absorbing first layer in contact with the substrate, a gap portion having a changeable size capable of causing an optical interference phenomenon, and a second layer. By changing the size of the gap portion, an amount of reflection, transmission, or absorption of incident light can be changed. For example, the substrate is made of carbon (C), the first layer is made of tantalum (Ta), and the second layer is made of silicon nitride (Si 3 N 4 ). Also in a visible light area, high response is realized. Consequently, the optical multilayer structure can be suitably used for an image display. The optical multilayer structure may be obtained by stacking, on a substrate made of a metal such as chromium (Cr), a first transparent layer made of a material having a high refractive index such as TiO 2 (n=2.40), a second transparent layer made of a material having a low refractive index such as MgF 2 (n=1.38), a gap portion having a changeable size capable of causing an optical interference phenomenon, and a third transparent layer made of a material having a high refractive index such as TiO 2 .
