TL;DR: The present disclosure provides both a visual display of previously invisible links embedded in a web page image and an audible indication of the presence of such links, thus facilitating web surfing by the sightless.
Abstract: A method of operation of a computer system for processing an arbitrary document such as a World Wide Web page to provide additional information not immediately available from the raw, unprocessed document This additional information allows a user to navigate and control the content of the document using, in some embodiments, voice commands and/or an agent-based user interface The present disclosure provides both a visual display of previously invisible links embedded in a web page image and an audible indication of the presence of such links The present invention further comprises a scripting language that allows the rapid creation of executable computer instructions (or scripts) for controlling the behaviors and functionality of the agent-based interface Such scripts enable the creation of a friendlier, easy to use interface to the navigation and control features The present invention also comprises the ability to read the contents of an arbitrary web page aloud, including the names of embedded hypertext links, thus facilitating web surfing by the sightless

18 Dec 2007TL;DR: In this article, a first playback device, upon receiving a synchronized playback command while content playback is in progress, transmits information that pertains to the playback content and the synchronized playback start time obtained by adding a predetermined additional time to an elapsed playback time for the content.
Abstract: A first playback device, upon receiving a synchronized playback command while content playback is in progress, transmits, to a second playback device, information that pertains to the playback content and a synchronized playback start time obtained by adding a predetermined additional time to an elapsed playback time for the content. The second playback device starts receiving content data that begins from the synchronized playback start time from a server. After the data that is memorized in a memory reaches a specified volume, the second playback device transmits a playback preparation completion notification to the first playback device. Once the elapsed playback time for the content reaches the synchronized playback start time, the first playback device transmits a playback start command to the second playback device. Upon receiving this command, the second playback device starts playing back content data that begins from the synchronized playback start time.

04 Feb 2002TL;DR: On a copper wiring surface, an oxidation resistive and fluorinated acid resistive layer is formed, and an oxide resistive copper wiring, enhancement of resistive fluorinated acids nature are achieved as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: On a copper wiring surface, an oxidation resistive and fluorinated acid resistive layer is formed, and an oxidation resistive copper wiring, enhancement of resistive fluorinated acid nature are achieved. Furthermore, a via-hole connection resistance is reduced, and a clad layer (the CoWP layer) having oxidation resistive and fluorinated acid resistive nature high copper wiring configuration is formed, and cover layer (the CoWP layer) including cobalt and the CoWP layer of reliability, and the CoWP layer is formed by the copper wiring.

02 Dec 1986TL;DR: In this article, a reproducing and recording or dubbing system is presented for reproducing from a first tape recorded composite data which includes pulse code modulated information data mixed with control data having first and second states for indicating that rerecording of associated information data is to be prevented and permitted, respectively.
Abstract: In a reproducing and recording or dubbing system there are provided a reproducing apparatus for reproducing from a first tape recorded composite data which includes pulse code modulated information data mixed with control data having first and second states for indicating that re-recording of the associated information data is to be prevented and permitted, respectively, a recording apparatus for recording on a second tape composite data reproduced from the first tape, a detector for detecting the states of the control data in the composite data reproduced from the first tape, a generator for generating a dubbing protect control signal in response to detection of the first state of the control data, a line for transmitting the reproduced composite data from the reproducing apparatus to the recording apparatus, and a switch interposed in the line for transmitting the reproduced composite data and being operated by the dubbing protect control signal to interrupt the transmission of the reproduced composite data to the recording apparatus and thereby prevent recording or copying of the reproduced composite data on the second tape

27 Oct 2005TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a storage device able to make redundant write operation of unselected data unnecessary and able to optimize an arrangement of pages to a state having a high efficiency for rewriting, where the storage device has a first memory unit, a second memory unit having a different access speed from the first memory, and a control circuit, wherein the control circuit has a function of timely moving the stored data in two ways between the first and second memory units having different access speeds in reading or rewriting.
