TL;DR: By adjusting the composition x, the bandgap is successfully tuned from previously reported 3.65 eV to as low as 2.74 eV, and the excellent ferroelectricity was kept intact and may contribute to improving the photoelectronic and/or photovoltaic performance of hybrid perovskite-type compounds.
Abstract: Semiconducting ferroelectricity is realized in hybrid perovskite-type compounds (cyclohexylammonium)2 PbBr4-4 x I4 x (x = 0-1). By adjusting the composition x, the bandgap is successfully tuned from previously reported 3.65 eV to as low as 2.74 eV, and the excellent ferroelectricity was kept intact. This finding may contribute to improving the photoelectronic and/or photovoltaic performance of hybrid perovskite-type compounds.

TL;DR: An efficient algorithm is proposed to reduce the computation cost of block matching algorithms for motion estimation in video coding by using the sum norms of the blocks and the subblocks for eliminating the search positions.
Abstract: An efficient algorithm is proposed to reduce the computation cost of block matching algorithms for motion estimation in video coding. Based on a new insight in block matching algorithms, we extend the successive elimination algorithm to a multilevel case. By using the sum norms of the blocks and the subblocks, tighter and tighter decision boundaries can be obtained for eliminating the search positions. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm combined with the full search algorithm and several fast search algorithms is verified by simulation results.

Abstract: Cells release exosomes into extracellular medium. Although the important roles of exosomes in many physiological and pathological processes are being revealed, the mechanism of exosome-cell interaction remains unclear. In this article, employing real-time fluorescence microscopy, the motion of exosomes on the plasma membrane or in the cytoplasm of recipient PC12 cells was observed directly. In addition, several motion modes of exosomes were revealed by single particle tracking (SPT). The changes between motion modes were also detected, presenting the dynamic courses of exosome attachment onto plasma membrane and exosome uptake. Octadecyl rhodamine B chloride (R18) was found to be useful to distinguish endocytosis from fusion during exosome uptake. Colocalization with organelle markers showed exosomes were sorted to acidic vesicles after internalization. The results provide new sight into the exosome-cell interaction mode and the intercellular trafficking of exosomes. This study will help to understand the roles of exosomes at cell level.
