17 May 1996TL;DR: In this article, a method of effecting a matrix transpose operation in a computer is described, which uses a computer instruction which restructures a data string by retaining first and last substrings of the data string in unchanged positions and interchanges the position of at least two intermediate sub-strings.
Abstract: A method of effecting a matrix transpose operation in a computer is described. The method uses a computer instruction which restructures a data string by retaining first and last sub-strings of the data string in unchanged positions and interchanges the position of at least two intermediate sub-strings. The data string is formed from sub-strings each representing one or more data value in a matrix. The computer instruction can be effected in a single register store having a predetermined bit capacity addressable by a single address, or in a pair of such register stores. The data restructuring instructions include "flip", "zip" and "unzip" instructions.

TL;DR: Both global and local parametric 3D FEA fatigue models are established for TFBGA on board with considerations of detailed pad design, realistic shape of solder joint, and nonlinear material properties, and they have the capability to predict the fatigue life of solder Joint during the thermal cycling test within ±13% error.

18 Sep 2005TL;DR: Pinapa is a tool to extract both architecture and behavior information from SystemC code, with very few limitations, and can be used as a front-end for various analysis tools, ranging from "superlint" to model-checking.
Abstract: SystemC is becoming a de-facto standard for the description of complex systems-on-a-chip. It enables system-level descriptions of SoCs: the same language is used for the description of the architecture, software and hardware parts.A tool like Pinapa is compulsory to work on realistic SoCs designs for anything else than simulation: it is able to extract both architecture and behavior information from SystemC code, with very few limitations. Pinapa can be used as a front-end for various analysis tools, ranging from "superlint" to model-checking. It is open source and available from http://greensocs.sourceforge.net/pinapa/. There exists no equivalent tool for SystemC up to now.

01 Jun 2000TL;DR: In this paper, the edge termination includes a voltage divider including a plurality of MOS transistors in series, and is connected between non-driveble terminals of a power component.
Abstract: Semiconductor device for high voltages including at least one power component and at least one edge termination. The edge termination includes a voltage divider including a plurality of MOS transistors in series, and the edge termination is connected between non-driveble terminals of said power component.

20 Oct 1994TL;DR: A DC-to-DC converter comprises a PWM regulation loop and a hysteretic control loop, which are alternatively enabled by a mode selection circuit of the converter in function of the load level as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: A DC-to-DC (buck) converter comprises a PWM regulation loop and a hysteretic control loop, which are alternatively enabled by a mode selection circuit of the converter in function of the load level. When the level of load drops below a preset limit related to a design load level, the converter passes from a PWM control mode to a hysteretic control mode, thus eliminating switching losses during periods of operation at relatively low load level.
