20 Nov 2006TL;DR: An external test method for NoC based on functional fault models, which targets single stuck-at faults in the network switches is proposed, which allows reaching higher fault coverage in comparison to the recent DFT based solutions.
Abstract: Over the past few years, Network-on-a-Chip (NoC) has become increasingly popular as a scalable interconnect infrastructure for IP cores. Simultaneously to developing new design paradigms, testing strategies for such network architectures have to be considered. The previous works on testing NoCs have been mainly based on general purpose Designfor- Testability (DfT) approaches and there is a lack of test algorithms dedicated to on-chip networks. The main contribution of this paper is a well-scalable external test method, where insertion of wrappers and scan paths will not be required. The paper proposes an external test method for NoC based on functional fault models, which targets single stuck-at faults in the network switches. Furthermore, 100 per cent of delay faults, opens and shorts between adjacent interconnection lines are covered by the method. The approach allows to reach higher fault coverages in comparison to the recent DfT based solutions.

TL;DR: In this paper, single processes such as ozonation, ozone/hydrogen peroxide, Fenton and several combined treatment schemes were applied for leachate collected from a waste disposal site.
Abstract: Single processes such as ozonation, ozone/hydrogen peroxide, Fenton and several combined treatment schemes were applied for leachate collected from a waste disposal site. The implementation of combined Fenton and ozonation processes resulted in the highest chemical oxygen demand removal (77% from initial value) among all the treatment methods applied, while biodegradability improvement was observed during the Fenton pre-treatment only. Some decrease of chemical oxygen demand was obtained during the single ozonation or combined schemes including ozone resulting in slight if any biodegradability improvement. The addition of hydrogen peroxide to ozonation did not enhance chemical oxygen demand, dissolved organic carbon or biochemical oxygen demand removal compared to ozone alone. Ferric chloride coagulation used as a pre-treatment stage did not improve subsequent chemical oxygen demand removal by ozonation or the Fenton processes. Taking into account the effective chemical oxygen demand, dissolved organic ca...

TL;DR: Development of annotation describing clinical status and metadata of measurements of clinical phenotype that characterizes the sample will be of great value and importance to programs such as the Chromosome Human Protein Project (C-HPP) that will associate protein expression in healthy and disease states with genetic foci along of each of the human chromosomes.
Abstract: Biobanks are a major resource to access and measure biological constituents that can be used to monitor the status of health and disease, both in unique individual samples and within populations. Most “omic” activities rely on access to these collections of stored samples to provide the basis for establishing the ranges and frequencies of expression. Furthermore, information about the relative abundance and form of protein constituents found in stored samples provides an important historical index for comparative studies of inherited, epidemic, and developing disease. Standardizations of sample quality, form, and analysis are an important unmet need and requirement for gaining the full benefit from collected samples. Coupled to this standard is the provision of annotation describing clinical status and metadata of measurements of clinical phenotype that characterizes the sample. Today we have not yet achieved consensus on how to collect, manage, and build biobank archives in order to reach goals where the...

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the tendency of investors to realize gains too early and the reluctance to liquidate losing positions based on the complete transaction data of the Estonian stock market.
Abstract: The paper analyses the tendency of investors to realize gains too early and the reluctance to liquidate losing positions. Analysis is based on the complete transaction data of the Estonian stock market. The Cox proportional hazard model along with ratio analysis is used to measure the disposition effect. I find presence of the disposition effect on the market but contrary to other investor groups, foreign investors seem to exhibit a "reverse disposition effect" that can be caused by different behavioral characteristics compared to local investors, especially risk aversion. Foreign investors are more driven by momentum strategies whereas local investors pursue the contrarian approach. Experience and investor sophistication seem to decrease the disposition effect.
