TL;DR: The study emphasizes that despite nuclear atypia and recurrences, CMF is a benign disease.
Abstract: Chondromyxoid fibroma (CMF) can be confused with a malignant tumor because of its potential for recurrence and occasional nuclear atypia. This study of 10 cases of CMF comprises 6 men and 4 women, with a mean age of 24.3 years. Tibia was the preferred site of involvement. The histology showed lobulated chondromyxoid matrix with peripheral fibrosis. Two cases had local recurrences following intralesional excision. The study emphasizes that despite nuclear atypia and recurrences, CMF is a benign disease.

TL;DR: The aim of this review of literature is to analyse if there is a strong evidence to correlate oral sex with HPV related HNSCC and counsel the patient’s regarding sexual behaviours.
Abstract: Head neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs) are a significant cause of morbidity and mortality all around the world. Just like tobacco and alcohol, Human papilloma virus (HPV) infection is now recognized to play a role in the pathogenesis of a subset of HNSCCs. Unprotected sexual behaviours with the HPV carrier plays an important role in transmission of this virus. The global incidence of head and neck cancers is declining, but the incidence of HPV related head and neck cancers is rapidly increasing over the last few decades. However, most institutions do not mandate documentation of sexual history or counselling of patients regarding sexual practices like they do for tobacco and alcohol addictions in HNSCC patients. The aim of this review of literature is to analyse if there is a strong evidence to correlate oral sex with HPV related HNSCC and counsel the patient's regarding sexual behaviours.

TL;DR: It is suggested that usage of passive immunisation in the aggressive phase, followed by active immunisation after cessation of intense chemotherapy would be a better option to increase the rates of protective antibody levels in these immunocompromised patients with leukemia.

TL;DR: The prognosis is poor in advanced stages and in those with proximal or whole urethral involvement, requiring extensive surgical procedures, and the aim of treatment should be local excision and radiotherapy, thereby preserving the bladder.
Abstract: Background Primary carcinoma of the urethra is more common in women than in men. Vague symptoms in the early stages delay the diagnosis in most patients. Surgery and radiotherapy are used as treatment modalities for these tumors, either alone or in combination. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the records of 18 female patients with urethral cancer presented to our institution. Secondary tumors involving the urethra from adjacent organs like bladder carcinoma and gynecological cancer were excluded. Results In our review, the overall survival was 74% at 3 years and 33% at 5 years with median overall survival of 51 months. There was a statistically better overall survival in patients with early stage tumors compared with later stage disease (P = 0.03) and patients with distally located tumors had better survival compared with proximal and whole urethral involvement. Conclusions The prognosis is poor in advanced stages and in those with proximal or whole urethral involvement, requiring extensive surgical procedures. The aim of treatment in distal urethral carcinomas should be local excision and radiotherapy, thereby preserving the bladder.
