Abstract: This paper presents a novel online-capable interaction-aware intention and maneuver prediction framework for dynamic environments. The main contribution is the combination of model-based interaction-aware intention estimation with maneuver-based motion prediction based on supervised learning. The advantages of this framework are twofold. On one hand, expert knowledge in the form of heuristics is integrated, which simplifies the modeling of the interaction. On the other hand, the difficulties associated with the scalability and data sparsity of the algorithm due to the so-called curse of dimensionality can be reduced, as a reduced feature space is sufficient for supervised learning. The proposed algorithm can be used for highly automated driving or as a prediction module for advanced driver assistance systems without the need of intervehicle communication. At the start of the algorithm, the motion intention of each driver in a traffic scene is predicted in an iterative manner using the game-theoretic idea of stochastic multiagent simulation. This approach provides an interpretation of what other drivers intend to do and how they interact with surrounding traffic. By incorporating this information into a Bayesian network classifier, the developed framework achieves a significant improvement in terms of reliable prediction time and precision compared with other state-of-the-art approaches. By means of experimental results in real traffic on highways, the validity of the proposed concept and its online capability is demonstrated. Furthermore, its performance is quantitatively evaluated using appropriate statistical measures.

TL;DR: In this article, the TASSO data collected in the PETRA detector at PETRA was analyzed with the same evaluation procedures for all the energies, including 14, 22, 35 and 43.7 GeV.
Abstract: Jet properties ine + e − annihilation at center of mass energies of 14, 22, 35 and 43.7 GeV were studied with the data collected in the TASSO detector at PETRA, using the same evaluation procedures for all the energies. The total hadronic cross section ratio for the center of mass energy interval 39–47 GeV was determined to be ℛ=4.11±0.05 (stat)±0.18(syst.) at $$\langle \sqrt s \rangle = 43 - 7$$ GeV. Corrected distributions of global shape variables are presented as well as the inclusive charged particle distributions for scaled momentum and transverse momentum. The center of mass energy evolution of the average sphericity, thrust, aplanarity and particle momentum is shown.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the simultaneous effects of country of origin (COO) and corporate reputation on initial trust in a transition economy, and compare these effects across two service industries.
Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the simultaneous effects of country of origin (COO) and corporate reputation on initial trust in a transition economy, and to compare these effects across two service industries. The model broadens COO research by incorporating initial trust as a key driver of success in the context of services internationalization. Design/methodology/approach – Poland is the transition economy studied. A total of 184 respondents evaluated different service combinations (high vs low reputation/home country vs foreign country) in two different service categories (high risk vs low risk). Relationships between constructs are tested, employing a between‐subject experimental design. Findings – Both reputation and the risk level of service have a significant main effect on initial trust. Furthermore, results indicate a highly significant interaction effect: a positive COO effect leads to a higher level of initial trust only in the case of a risky service. Research limitations/implications – As with all laboratory studies, external validity is limited. Further research should focus on other instruments for gaining initial trust (e.g. warranties), especially in the case of a negative COO image. Practical implications – International marketers of services must carefully consider COO information as a means of building initial trust. Positive effects only apply in the case of high‐risk services. Originality/value – A major contribution is the introduction of initial trust as an important mediator in COO‐related international service marketing literature. As a second contribution, COO effects were compared across different service categories with respect to perceived risk. Furthermore, investigating COO effects in transition economies is of particular interest, as such markets are gaining attraction for international service providers.
