TL;DR: In this article, a model on this theme is developed, on the lines of one of Professor Ballestero's research programmes, for the organisation of crop reception periods. But there is a notable lack of models of the operation of a crop reception period, which study the relationships between the effects of a waiting phenomenon and the effect of a system of premiums for farmers designed to stimulate them to deliver their crops.
Abstract: In the literature on agricultural economics there are several applications of the classic models of the theory of queues in agricultural production processes. However, there is a notable lack of models of the organisation of crop reception periods which study the relationships between the effects of a waiting phenomenon and the effects of a system of premiums for farmers designed to stimulate them to deliver their crops in a period of time fixed beforehand. In this paper a model on this theme is developed, on the lines of one of Professor Ballestero's research programmes.

TL;DR: In this article, the stability of the nearly uniform distribution of the current through the junction of the diode is analyzed and it is concluded that, for diodes which are small enough, a hot point cannot appear.
Abstract: This paper discusses the process of the generation of hot points in reverse biased p−n diodes. In this work we use a simple lumped thermal model of the diode. The stability of the nearly uniform distribution of the current through the junction of the diode is analysed. This analysis determines, for every diode, the maximum value of the current under which the junction will be free of current constriction, or hot points. It is concluded that, for diodes which are small enough, a hot point cannot appear. Nevertheless, if a nearly ideal voltage generator is used to drive the diode, a thermal instability of the whole junction can appear.
