TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the adoption and implementation of ERP systems by SMEs in the region of Western Macedonia and found that although SMEs recognize the advantages and benefits gained by the application of these systems, especially in managing and summarizing heterogenous data, they do not take advantage of the knowledge and experience gained from using them.

TL;DR: The comparison of FDASH against other rate adaptation schemes shows that the former successfully provides the client with the optimal video rates, avoiding buffer underflows and unnecessary changes of video resolution in case of fluctuations of the available connection throughput.
Abstract: The evolution of broadband connection technologies, along with the explosive growth of mobile handheld devices, has made video content one of the major Internet traffic types. HTTP adaptive streaming (HAS) is one factor assisting the growing popularity of Internet video. One of its standards, the MPEG dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH), allows users to access video streams of multiple resolutions available at a central repository. Various adaptation algorithms using the MPEG DASH protocol have been proposed, aiming to adapt the media bit rate delivered at the client to the current network conditions. In this paper, we present the FDASH rate adaptation scheme that employs fuzzy logic to control the buffering time and the video resolution delivered to the client in order to distribute video segments of the best quality, deliver undisrupted video playback, and avoid frequent changes of video resolution. The comparison of FDASH against other rate adaptation schemes shows that the former successfully provides the client with the optimal video rates, avoiding buffer underflows and unnecessary changes of video resolution in case of fluctuations of the available connection throughput.

Abstract: The solution of the two-dimensional time-independent Schrodinger equation is considered by partial discretization. The discretized problem is treated as an ordinary differential equation problem and Numerov type methods are used to solve it. Specifically the classical Numerov method, the exponentially and trigonometrically fitting modified Numerov methods of Vanden Berghe et al. [Int. J. Comp. Math 32 (1990) 233–242], and the minimum phase-lag method of Rao et al. [Int. J. Comp. Math 37 (1990) 63–77] are applied to this problem. All methods are applied for the computation of the eigenvalues of the two-dimensional harmonic oscillator and the two-dimensional Henon–Heils potential. The results are compared with the results produced by full discterization.

TL;DR: The aim of this paper is to find out users' reaction towards different parameters that would influence their intention to utilize their mobile devices in order to purchase products and services online focusing on the current Greek reality.
Abstract: Mobile Technology is creating a range of tremendous opportunities and new revenue streams for businesses across industry sectors through the delivery of chargeable mobile products and services via the deployment of innovative value-added solutions that exploit the commercial benefits of mobility. To keep up with the pace of change, companies increasingly want to understand the behavioral attitude of the modern mobile consumer. The aim of this paper is to find out users' reaction towards different parameters that would influence their intention to utilize their mobile devices in order to purchase products and services online focusing on the current Greek reality. The extant literature focuses on understanding the factors that might affect consumers' behavior intention to adopt m-shopping; these studies are mostly based on behavioral intention theories, such as Technology Acceptance Model, Diffusion of Innovation and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. In this study, new theoretical constructs are combined with existing evidence in order to extend the Technology Acceptance Model as it was initially established by Davis and later further enriched by other researchers. The proposed model includes behavioral intention, mobile skillfulness, enjoyment, anxiety, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, relationship drivers, and innovativeness.

TL;DR: In this article, the boundary element model for eddy current inspection of ideal or narrow cracks is revised, which is based on a novel method for rapidly calculating the Green's function and reducing the matrix fill-time.
Abstract: An existing boundary element method model for eddy current inspection of ideal or narrow cracks is revised. Using some lately devised concepts on efficiently and rapidly simulating canonical eddy current geometries, we show how this model can be made easier to implement and faster to calculate. The approach is largely based on a novel method for rapidly calculating the Green's function and reducing the matrix fill-time, and also on a similar method for rapidly computing the incident electric field. As a result, the model has been made an order of magnitude faster than the existing one without sacrificing accuracy. We pay attention to numerical analysis details and analyze issues that so far have not been clarified. The validity of our approach is also verified by the experiment. Although we have tested the model against published data, we have also produced our own precision measurements for surface and through-the-thickness slots in plates with the coils performing scans along and across the slots at various frequencies.
