TL;DR: A formal design framework is described that it allows for correct-by-construction complex circuit generation from high-level program models with arbitrary data and control flow and the functionality of the generated finite-state-machines and datapaths is formally equivalent to that of the source programs.
Abstract: In this paper, a formal design framework is described that it allows for correct-by-construction complex circuit generation from high-level program models with arbitrary data and control flow. The formal nature of the program compilation allows for design flow iteration -- free design, rapid development times and bug-free product implementation. The discussed formal framework, translates program subroutines into hardware coprocessors. The translation process is implemented with formal compiler-compiler and logic programming techniques. Due to this the functionality of the generated finite-state-machines and datapaths is formally equivalent to that of the source programs. This is practically proven in this paper with verification of the designed systems at both the program code and at the produced circuit RTL simulations level. The presented design flow enables rapid prototyping and it allows for compression of the development time from months down to a few hours.

TL;DR: In this paper, historical stages and reformation of the accession of the Greek economy to the EU are estimated and the last effects of loans of the IMF and the European Stabilization Mechanism are evaluated.
Abstract: Historical aspects of the creation of European countries of the integration association − the EU are highlighted. Historical stages and reformation of the accession of the Greek economy to the EU are estimated. After the restoration of the democracy in Greece, the negotiations about its accession, which lasted three years (July 1976 − May 1979), were intensified again. January 1, 1981, Greece joined the European Community. Since the country’s accession to the EU in 1981, GDP has grown substantially. Considering the level of inflation before and after the accession of Greece to the EU, by 1981, the inflation rate was gradually increasing, and after accession, particular in 2002, the inflation rate stabilized when Greece fully implemented the euro. Despite the GDP growth, the decline of the level of inflation, the Greek government carried out a thoughtless populist policy, spending huge loans from the IMF on social welfare of the population. While the national industry required significant investments. That’s why it’s not surprising that, since 1981, Greece’s national products turned out to be uncompetitive with European analogs in the context of liberalization of foreign trade, and its negative foreign trade balance more increased. Although the amount of export and import of goods and services at current prices between Greece and countries of the EU increased. The decrease of labor productivity, lack of modernization measures of agriculture as a priority sector in Greece led to an increase in the budget deficit and the debt load of the Greek economy. In 2008, government revenues declined even more, which led to bankruptcy of enterprises and a large reduction of employees. Also the macrofinancial assistance to Greece over 2010−2018 for the sum of 288.7 billion euros for the exit from the debt crisis is considered. The implementation of three macrofinancial assistance programs required the Greek government to implement a series of reforms that should reduce the debt deficit and debt load. The last effects of loans of the IMF and the European Stabilization Mechanism are evaluated.

TL;DR: Findings reveal that candidates running in large municipalities who hadn’t been elected before are more likely to utilize Facebook as a means of political marketing and it was found that a candidates’ Facebook page popularity is a good indicator of the candidate’s vote share.
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the use of Facebook by candidates running for the 2014 Greek Municipal Elections by addressing the following questions: (1) which factors affect Facebook adoption by municipal candidates?, and (2) whether Facebook usage along with the popularity of candidates’ Facebook pages influence candidates’ vote share. Results indicate that Facebook is not a very popular campaigning tool among municipal candidates in Greece. This implies that Greek candidates still rely on traditional ways to lure their voters. Furthermore, findings reveal that candidates running in large municipalities who hadn’t been elected before are more likely to utilize Facebook as a means of political marketing. Despite the low adoption rate, results suggested that candidates who made use of Facebook won more votes compared to non-Facebook candidates. Moreover, it was found that a candidate’s Facebook page popularity is a good indicator of the candidate’s vote share.

TL;DR: In the present study, clustering is applied to a set of PV power generation curves that correspond to locational distributed PV installations with the aim of formulating the PV generation profiles and PV clusters.
Abstract: Due to the high rate of Photovoltaics (PV) installations in many countries, the need for data processing and exploitation is a crucial factor that determines the success of the economic profitability of the installation. Machine learning is a family of tools for information retrieval and knowledge extraction. In the present study, clustering is applied to a set of PV power generation curves that correspond to locational distributed PV installations with the aim of formulating the PV generation profiles and PV clusters. Next, a techno-economic assessment of different policy schemes is applied to selected cluster. The scope is to reduce the need for conducting economic analyses per PV site; grouping PV installations in homogenous clusters can lead to reduced effort in the phase of techno-economic evaluation of the overall operation of the PV technology.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the basic characteristics of both scoring and rating schemes and discuss the main modeling requirements and the model development process of credit scoring and credit rating systems, focusing on the major credit rating agencies (CRAs).
Abstract: Credit scoring usually refers to models and systems that provide a numerical credit score for each borrower, mostly for internal use by financial institutions and corporate clients. Credit ratings provide risk classifications for corporate loans, bond issues, and countries (e.g., sovereign credit ratings). This chapter describes the basic characteristics of both schemes. The presentation begins with a discussion of the different contexts of scoring and rating (through the cycle and point in time assessments, issuer ratings and issue-specific ratings, behavioral—profit scoring and social lending). Then, the main modeling requirements are outlined, and the model development process is explained. The chapter closes with a brief discussion of the credit rating industry, focusing on the major credit rating agencies (CRAs), who play a crucial role due to the globalization of the financial markets and the wide range of debt issues, which pose challenges to their monitoring and risk assessment for investors, financial institutions, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
