TL;DR: In this article, a two-stage clustering process was developed for the formation of natural gas demand profiles per distribution point, which can be further utilized in a variety of applications such as forecasting, tariff designs and others.
Abstract: Natural gas is considered as a crucial power source both for electrical and thermal loads. Natural gas markets are continually expanding, a fact that raises the need of formulating new energy services to the end-users. The aim of the present paper is to develop a two-stage clustering process that leads to the formation of natural gas demand profiles per distribution point. Natural gas demand profiles can be further utilized in a variety of applications such as forecasting, tariff designs and others. The test case refers to the distribution points of the national natural gas system of Greece. The results show that hierarchical algorithms are the suitable clustering solution for the dataset under study.

TL;DR: In this paper, the main strategies multinational companies implement to enter new markets, and more specifically emerging ones, by reviewing the determinants of the strategic choice between establishing a joint venture formed by a multinational and a local partner, and the merger/acquisition of a local firm.
Abstract: This paper aims to examine the main strategies multinational companies implement to enter new markets, and more specifically emerging ones, by reviewing the determinants of the strategic choice between establishing a joint venture formed by a multinational and a local partner, and the merger/acquisition of a local firm. By reviewing the relevant literature, we explore the strategies that Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) follow to enter new markets in emerging economies. Finally we put the literature in test by presenting a case study of a clothing retail company that has been a platform for multinationals wishing to enter the market of Mexico. José G. TL;DR: A formal high-level synthesis framework that is used to automatically generate provably-correct hardware from high- level, behavioural, algorithmic program code, with options of memory use and target FSM+datapath configurations.
Abstract: This paper describes a formal high-level synthesis framework that is used to automatically generate provably-correct hardware from high-level, behavioural, algorithmic program code, with options of memory use and target FSM+datapath configurations. The correctness of the generated hardware accelerators is ensured by the use of compiler-generator and logic programming techniques. Internal, on-chip or external, shared memory use, as well as generation of massively-parallel or classic FSM+datapath can be selected via the use of compilation options. The required I/O and memory interfaces and communication handshake protocols are automatically generated by the hardware compiler. The generated hardware states are optimized with the use of the PARCS (resource-constrained) algorithm. The suitability of the presented design framework is proven with a number of test benchmarks including a MPEG video compression design.

TL;DR: In this paper, the isotropic Fermi contact hyperfine interactions (FCHFI) of hydrogen or deuterium atoms isolated in crystalline noble gases at cryogenic temperatures are compared to the values of the same quantities of the hydrogen atom in the gas phase.
Abstract: The shifts of the isotropic Fermi contact hyperfine interactions (FCHFI) of hydrogen or deuterium atoms isolated in crystalline noble gases at cryogenic temperatures are compared to the values of the same quantities of the hydrogen atom in the gas phase. New experimental FCHFI values of H/D trapped in crystalline Ne are compared with experimentally obtained and theoretically computed values. The possible trapping sites in the distorted solid Ne gas crystalline structure occupied by the hydrogen atomic impurities are identified by the variation of the FCHFI shifts in the EPR spectra and discussed after their dependence to the deposition method. The present EPR investigation revealed formation of H2 microcrystals in solid Ne even at a very low H2 impurity content of 0.01% in the deposited H2:Ne gaseous mixture.

TL;DR: This tool combination is able to rapidly deliver provably-correct hardware implementations at the RTL level, from high-level, abstract, algorithmic executable specifications at the C program level.
Abstract: In this paper, experiments with a useable C frontend for the CCC behavioural synthesis tools are presented and analysed. This tool combination is able to rapidly deliver provably-correct hardware implementations at the RTL level, from high-level, abstract, algorithmic executable specifications at the C program level. The used constructs are discussed and a number of experiments with the tool are outlined and evaluated. The contribution of the CCC tools are invaluable for implementing real-life applications in hardware involving models with complex control flow and rich in loops and arrays. The discussed experiments prove the tools useable.
