TL;DR: In this article, the predictive power of various school characteristics and speed of initial implementation on sustained fidelity of implementation of SWPBIS at 1, 3, and 5 years was assessed.
Abstract: In this analysis of extant data from 3,011 schools implementing school-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports (SWPBIS) across multiple years, we assessed the predictive power of various school characteristics and speed of initial implementation on sustained fidelity of implementation of SWPBIS at 1, 3, and 5 years. In addition, we partitioned variance in whether schools sustained SWPBIS at the school, district, and state levels. Results showed that the largest differences in fidelity were at the state level. In addition, school characteristics (particularly grade levels served) and speed of initial implementation were significant but small predictors of sustained implementation. Results are discussed in terms of effective supports at the state and district levels, as well as addressing types of schools at greater risk of abandonment, such as high schools.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors formulated and tested a model that sought to explicate the intermediate linkages between accountability and job performance and satisfaction, and found that accountability affects organizational citizenship behavior, which in turn influences job performance through personal reputation.
Abstract: Holding people answerable for their actions captures the essence of accountability, which is one of the most fundamental constructs in the organizational sciences and, unfortunately, one about which little is known This study formulated and tested a model that sought to explicate the intermediate linkages between accountability and job performance and satisfaction Specifically, the hypothesized model suggests that accountability affects organizational citizenship behavior, which in turn influences job performance and satisfaction through personal reputation Three alternative models were also examined, but the hypothesized model demonstrated the best fit to the data Strengths and limitations of the study, directions for future research, and implications for practice are discussed

TL;DR: Estradiol-17β and progesterone were found in the mandibular organ, green gland, hepatopancreas, ovary and serum of the American lobster by radioimmunoassay and their concentration in animals with immature ovaries was essentially the same as that found in Animals with developing ovaries.

TL;DR: The alkali metal salts of monoanionic calix[6]arenes are more conformationally flexible than the alkaliMetal salts of dianionic calx[6?]arenes, which has been shown by their solution NMR spectra.
Abstract: The synthesis, complete characterization, and solid state structural and solution conformation determination of calix[n]arenes (n = 4, 6, 8) is reported A complete series of X-ray structures of the alkali metal salts of calix[4]arene (HC4) illustrate the great influence of the alkali metal ion on the solid state structure of calixanions (eg, the Li salt of monoanionic HC4 is a monomer; the Na salt of monoanionic HC4 forms a dimer; and the K, Rb, and Cs salts exist in polymeric forms) Solution NMR spectra of alkali metal salts of monoanionic calix[4]arenes indicate that they have the cone conformation in solution Variable-temperature NMR spectra of salts HC4·M (M = Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs) show that they possess similar coalescence temperatures, all higher than that of HC4 Due to steric hindrance from tert-butyl groups in the para position of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (ButC4), the alkali metal salts of monoanionic ButC4 exist in monomeric or dimeric form in the solid state Calix[6]arene (HC6) and p-tert-b

TL;DR: In this article, a case study of the potential effects of climate change on assessments of water-supply capabilities and focuses on whether and how climate change considerations should be incorporated in the water availability modeling (WAM) system.
Abstract: The state of Texas recently implemented a water-availability modeling (WAM) system to support planning and regulatory activities. River basin hydrology is represented in the WAM system by sequences of historical monthly naturalized streamflows and net reservoir evaporation rates. This paper describes a case study investigation of the potential effects of climate-change on assessments of water-supply capabilities and focuses on whether and how climate change considerations should be incorporated in the WAM system. A modeling approach was adopted to explore the impacts of climate change on hydrologic and institutional water availability for the numerous water users who depend on supplies provided by the 118,000 km2 Brazos River Basin. Analyses of historical naturalized streamflows indicate hidden but significant multiple-year cycles but no long-term trends during the twentieth century. A climate model and watershed hydrology model are used to adjust the WAM system hydrology to reflect anomalous climate duri...
