TL;DR: In this paper, the carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health risks related to non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs) and elements, dioxins, furans and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in PM2.5 samples collected during a one-year field campaign in two urban industrial areas in the East Mediterranean region.

TL;DR: Assessment of the propagation of uncertainty due to the adoption of stochastic models for modeling Occupant Presence and Actions available in the literature on the annual electric energy use of a reference office building shows that changing the stoChastic model in window operation, occupancy estimation, and light switch-off behavior generates a considerable difference in building’s energy performance.

TL;DR: A computationally efficient and robust 3D modeling approach is used for the modal analysis and the proposed fundamental period formulae are found to have superior predictive capabilities for the under-study types of buildings.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors employ the online coupled WRF/Chem model to study air pollution over the eastern Mediterranean during winter and summer, using three nested domains with horizontal resolutions down to 2 kilometers.

TL;DR: In this paper, the first results for parton distribution functions within the proton at the physical pion mass, employing the method of quasi-distributions, were obtained with twisted mass clover-improved fermions.
Abstract: We show the first results for parton distribution functions within the proton at the physical pion mass, employing the method of quasi-distributions. In particular, we present the matrix elements for the iso-vector combination of the unpolarized, helicity and transversity quasi-distributions, obtained with $N_f=2$ twisted mass clover-improved fermions and a proton boosted with momentum $|\vec{p}|=0.83\mbox{ GeV}$. The momentum smearing technique has been applied to improve the overlap with the proton boosted state. Moreover, we present the renormalized helicity matrix elements in the RI$'$ scheme, following the non-perturbative renormalization prescription recently developed by our group.
