TL;DR: In this paper, a vehicle control apparatus for controlling a four-wheel-drive automotive vehicle of a type consisting of a first drive power source for driving one of a pair of front wheels and a rear wheels, and a second drive power generator for driving the other of the pairs of front and rear wheels is presented.
Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus for controlling a four-wheel-drive automotive vehicle of a type which comprises a first drive power source for driving one of a pair of front wheels and a pair of rear wheels, and a second drive power source for driving the other of the pairs of front and rear wheels, wherein an operator's desired value of a vehicle drive force for driving the automotive vehicle is obtained on the basis of an amount of operation of a manually operated vehicle accelerating member and a running speed of the vehicle, and a front drive force for driving the pair of front wheels and a rear drive force for driving the pair of rear wheels are controlled on the basis of a static and a dynamic state of the vehicle such that a sum of the front drive force and the rear drive force is equal to the obtained operator's desired value of the vehicle drive force.

TL;DR: In this article, a speech recognition system recognizes an input speech signal by using a first speech recognizer and a second speech recogniser each coupled to a decision module, and the decision module selects either the first or the second speech text depending upon which of the first and second confidence score is higher.
Abstract: A speech recognition system recognizes an input speech signal by using a first speech recognizer and a second speech recognizer each coupled to a decision module. Each of the first and second speech recognizers outputs first and second recognized speech texts and first and second associated confidence scores, respectively, and the decision module selects either the first or the second speech text depending upon which of the first or second confidence score is higher. The decision module may also adjust the first and second confidence scores to generate first and second adjusted confidence scores, respectively, and select either the first or second speech text depending upon which of the first or second adjusted confidence scores is higher. The first and second confidence scores may be adjusted based upon the location of a speaker, the identity or accent of the speaker, the context of the speech, and the like.

TL;DR: In this article, an extracorporeal circulation system, a blood purifier provided in the system for purifying blood by dialysis or filtration through a semipermeable membrane, a circulation blood volume measuring instrument for measuring changes in a circulating blood volume within a patient's body, a control section comprising a memory for storing a program for a pattern of changes in the circulating blood volumes during blood purification, the program being matched to the condition of a patient, and a regulator connected to the extrasorporeal circulatory circulation system and the control section, for
Abstract: A blood purification apparatus includes an extracorporeal circulation system, a blood purifier provided in the system for purifying blood by dialysis or filtration through a semipermeable membrane, a circulation blood volume measuring instrument for measuring changes in a circulating blood volume within a patient's body, a control section comprising a memory for storing a program for a pattern of changes in the circulating blood volume during blood purification, the program being matched to the condition of a patient, and a regulator connected to the extracorporeal circulation system and the control section, for controlling the circulating blood volume, the regulator being controlled by the control section on the basis of the circulating blood volume measured during blood purification and the programmed amount. In this apparatus, optimum blood purification is carried out while maintaining the circulating blood volume at a prescribed level.

TL;DR: In this paper, a control device for a vehicle drive device whereby an improvement in vehicle response to accelerator operation by the driver can be achieved, in a vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine, a supercharger and an automatic transmission.
Abstract: Disclosed is a control device for a vehicle drive device whereby an improvement in vehicle response to accelerator operation by the driver can be achieved, in a vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine, a supercharger and an automatic transmission. Gear ratio selection control means (80), when the engine (12) is operating in NA condition, if the engine (12) comes to operate in a supercharged condition on change of ratio of the automatic transmission (16) to a first gear ratio (γ1at) in accordance with the gear-change map, performs gear ratio selection control so as to alter the method of selection of the gear ratio (γat) of the automatic transmission (16) in accordance with an increased rate (SPacc) of opening (Acc) of the accelerator. Specifically, in this gear ratio selection control, at the side where the increased rate (SPacc) of opening (Acc) of the accelerator is least, the automatic transmission (16) changes to a first gear ratio (γ1at), but, at the side where the increased rate (SPacc) of degree of opening (Acc) of the accelerator is greatest, the engine (12) is still maintained in the aforementioned NA condition and the automatic transmission (16) is changed to a second gear ratio (γ2at), which is larger than the first gear ratio (γ1at).

TL;DR: A two-cycle internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder head having an intake port and exhaust port opened to a combustion chamber, to which compressed fresh air is introduced via an intake valve.
Abstract: A two-cycle internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder head having an intake port and exhaust port opened to a combustion chamber, to which compressed fresh air is introduced via an intake valve. The intake and exhaust valves are operated in response to a crank angle. A pulsation pressure of exhaust gas in the exhaust port is substantially restrained during an idling or light load running condition. The exhaust valve is opened earlier than the intake valve when the speed of the downward movement of the piston is relatively high, such that a part of exhaust gas in the exhaust port flows back to the combustion chamber in that condition. An exhaust gas swirl rotating around a cylinder axis is formed when the exhaust gas flows back and the fresh air is slowly introduced onto the exhaust gas swirl in that condition.
